Fundraiser Update 📷 👟 Swipe to see how we went.

Last weekend, members of our team and friends walked 34km to raise funds and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

We chose to support the charity in honour of Beth, the daughter of one of our colleagues. Beth's parents, Jess and James, joined us on the walk in memory of their beautiful daughter. It was a privilege to walk alongside them and help support families facing similar challenges.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we raised $3,067. This amount can provide approximately 14 nights of accommodation for families needing to stay close to hospital while their child receives care.

As part of the Powering Women into Clean Energy Apprenticeships Project, FES has recently attended a few schools to connect with young women and show them different pathways in the electrotechnology and clean energy sector.

These visits to Templestowe College with NECA Education & Careers and Brentwood Secondary College with EWIT gave the students an opportunity to try some hands-on activities and discover more about what a career in trades could look like for them.

It's important that we continue sparking these conversations and sharing these career pathways with young women, so they know all the possibilities available to them in the clean energy sector.

The More or Less Walk for Ronald McDonald House Charities is on this weekend!

Members of FES, and some friends, are walking 34km around Melbourne on Saturday 31st October. We have chosen to support Ronald McDonald House Charities in honour of Beth, the daughter of one of our colleagues. Beth and her family were cared for by the incredible team at Ronald McDonald House during a challenging time, and their story deeply touched us. Through our fundraising efforts, we hope to help ensure more families can access the same comfort, care, and support when they need it most.

⚡ Full-time, part-time or casual positions available.

We're looking for someone with:
✅ A current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence
✅ Strong electrical industry experience
✅ Good communication and people skills
✅ A desire to share knowledge and help others succeed

While training qualifications and previous training experience are highly valued, they are not essential. We are committed to developing the right person through structured mentoring, professional development, and ongoing support from an experienced team of trainers and educators.

EV charging is a rapidly growing area of the electrical industry, and on Tuesday evening we partnered with Schneider Electric for an insightful FES Talks session on EV charging and load management solutions.

Attendees shared ideas, asked great questions, and gained valuable practical insights from industry experts, and from each other! A big thank you to David Atwill, Daniel F***e, and Ben Lowe for sharing their knowledge and facilitating an engaging workshop.

Thank you to Schneider Electric for co-hosting the event and providing refreshments and door prizes for a few lucky attendees. We look forward to the next one!
