The meeting will be held at our Atwell House Studio 586 Canning Highway Alfred Cove 6154.

All members are encouraged to attend and are invited to a social gathering after business is attended to, light refreshments will be provided.

The agenda for the AGM will include:

I. Confirmation of the Minutes of the 2025 Annual General Meeting
II. Report from the President
III. Report from the Treasurer including relevant excerpts from the Auditors Compilation Report for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2026.
A full copy of the report from the Auditor and PAWA’s Treasurer reports for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2026, are available on application to the Treasurer.
IV. All committee positions will be declared vacant and nominations for committee positions received will be voted on, a quorum for the vote will be 11 members

Trusting the process is part of making art.

Not every mark needs to be completely controlled, and not every outcome needs to be known from the beginning. Sometimes the most interesting work emerges when we allow the material, the process and a little unpredictability to participate in the making.

Printmaking makes this particularly visible. What happens on the plate passes through a series of transformations before becoming an image on paper. Along the way, textures shift, marks behave unexpectedly, and an experiment can reveal something you hadn’t planned.

Learning a technique is therefore not only about mastering control. It is also about developing the confidence to experiment, observe, respond and trust what unfolds.

Because sometimes the unexpected mark is the one that gives the work its character.

For those curious to explore this approach to printmaking, Francesco Geronazzo shares his Salt & Sugar Aquatint process in his ProARTika course, taking you through the technique step by step.

Perth Poetry Festival 2026 · Ear to the Ground | Cyano & Sip

Join Sarita Slater, Lakshmi Kanchi and Arunima Nair at The Wetlands Centre Cockburn for a gentle creative workshop combining wetland observation, guided Sun meditation, botanical cyanotype printmaking, and poetry writing.

🗓️ Sat, 31 Oct

Participants will walk to the lake, gather visual inspiration, create two cyanotype works, and write a short poem in response to the landscape and their making process.
Each participant will leave with one small cyanotype, one larger cyanotype, and a short poem or draft poem.

Our Carine jewellery studio is becoming a space for art and discovery — and you’re invited.

Little Secrets brings together intimate, small-scale paintings, printmaking and installation art by Haya Hagit Cohen and Shelley Cowper. An invitation to slow down, look closer and see how much meaning a small artwork can hold.

Meet the women behind the work:

✨ Haya Hagit Cohen
Discover Haya’s artistic world through thoughtful, experimental printmaking exploring body, self, environment and memory. Her work has been exhibited across Australia and internationally.

✨ Shelley Cowper
An artist for 25 years and Visual Arts lecturer at North Metropolitan TAFE, Shelley draws on her sailing adventures through remote Australia. Her prints and mixed-media works weave together landscape, personal experience and emotion.
