NECA QLD represents electrical and communications contractors across Queensland.

The NECA QLD branch represents electrical and communications contractors across Queensland from small businesses to multinational conglomerates. Our members work across every facet of the industry including Accredited Service Providers, Date & Communications, Security, Fire, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Solar and Smart Wiring. The NECA QLD branch provides advice and support to help our members, and the wider industry, to operate and manage their businesses more effectively. NECA members have access to phone and email support through NECA Member Services ensuring that you and your business receive specialist and expert advice. The NECA team can assist your business with Legal & IR, WHS, Technical Advice, Government Advocacy, Training & Apprenticeships and Workwear, Corporate Clothing & PPE and ongoing member benefits. NECA's Head of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Kent Johns, and NECA Training and Apprenticeships CEO, Tom Emeleus, met with Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, Shadow Minister for Skills and Training.
The discussions covered electrical apprenticeships, workforce development, training quality, and the vital role the electrotechnology sector will play in building Australia’s future workforce.
NECA values the opportunity to speak with Shadow Minister Price, who continues to listen to industry perspectives, and to work collaboratively on practical solutions to workforce challenges. We greatly appreciate her engagement and commitment to strengthening Australia’s skills and training system, ensuring it delivers for both apprentices and the businesses that train and employ them.
