Seniors / Disabled community - join us at Thrive Connect next week for our Christmas in July celebration! Whether you've been before or are thinking of checking us out for the first time, we'd love to have you.

We’re giving our weekly gathering a festive twist with:

Yesterday, our Thrive Connect Knitters & Natters handed over a beautiful parcel of handmade baby toys and blankets for families at the Mater Hospital.

Each piece was lovingly created by our community — stitched with care and given with the hope of bringing comfort to babies and support to their parents.

It was a joy to pass these gifts on to Chappy Megan from Mater.

We are so grateful for the kindness and skills of our knitters, for the wool shout‑out from Nourish Street Inc , and for the community grant from Councillor Adam Allan – Northgate Ward, that helped make this possible.

Some winter warmth!

Anne dropped off the final 30 beanies — completing a huge total of 330 — to the Nourish Street team this afternoon.
Every single one has been lovingly made by our Thrive Knit & Natter and Thrive Connect groups.

A big thank you to Nourish Street for the shout‑out and for providing the wool. It’s such a privilege to help facilitate our community doing good things.

We hope these beanies bring a little warmth and comfort to people doing it tough this winter.
