This is a fantastic announcement regarding McCoys Creek. This creek is where we participate in the annual Clean Up Australia Day organized by one of our members Chris. I haven't been able to locate a map yet showing the protected area. McCoys Creek runs into the Pimpama River. Looking after our natural areas.

Hi everyone

Just letting you know that the planting site at Regatta Waters Park looks great following an inspection by Marcello and Dan from Naturally GC.

So the planting will proceed as normal – entry from Graywillow Park at Oxenford at 8am, with 1,000 plants to be placed in their forever home.

Many thanks to Naturally GC for the site preparation, plants and equipment, and to Kim and Alison for their stewardship of the pages and website.

The planting will be followed by morning tea to catch up on what is happening around areas of interest.

Looking forward to the pleasure of your company.

Kindest regards to you all.

Steven Gill

In addition to our water results we are also almost due for our next tree planting. This will take place on Saturday June 13th from 0800. All the details are in the link below. we have 7 spots left. it is always good having a full house as many hands definitely make light work in tree planting! It is not hard physical labor and is a very rewarding experience. So, if you feel like giving back come along and give it a go!

Thankyou to the lovely group of people who came and grew our planting area at Regatta Parklands this morning. It was hotter than we expected for April but everyone soldiered on and enjoyed Steven's delicious morning tea afterwards. The conversations that happen during planting are fascinating!
We even had 2 entrants in the Miss and Ms Galaxy competitions planting in their crowns and sales! Both working for very worthy causes.
We will be back at it again in June. Have a great weekend.
