This morning, the NGCR crew cooked up some bacon and egg rolls and coffee for local clean up volunteers! ☕️🥓🍳 Overall, it was a fun and lovely day being out in the community for our local volunteers! 🙌

Thank you to Naomi Fowler, Division 2, Gold Coast for hosting the Clean Up Australia Day in Oxenford! 🌿

Our next club meeting is on Tuesday 24 March at The Meeting Place: Oxenford/Coomera Community Youth Centre starting from 6:30pm! 🙌

Hey hey! We’ve been invited to take part in a FREE barista workshop this Saturday and realised we’ve got 2 extra spots if anyone wants to join us! It’s running from 9:30am – 11:30am at The Meeting Place (25 Leo Graham Way, Oxenford).

You’ll learn how to make coffee on a proper commercial machine — extracting shots, steaming milk, the works. The trainer is an absolute legend who previously judged the National Barista Championships of South Africa ☕️

It should be pretty relaxed and a LOT of fun. Small group aged 18-30. Come meet some new people! Open to anyone around 18–30(ish) 😎

Our Rotaract club and Rotary Club of Coomera River have joined together to form Project Access - a project that partners with frontline organisations to supply essential day 1 goods and resources. This project helps people in crisis receive immediate support.

Recently, committee members from Project Access provided the Centre for Women fuel vouchers to assist people who are in a crisis.

Great opportunity to hear from the Griffith Encatus Team about their social enterprise ‘Cook & Connect’!

‘Cook & Connect’ is a social enterprise run by dietetics students at Griffith University (who get professional practice hours) for students who are lonely and not able to cook well for themselves.

For $30 they get 6 dinners and desserts, learn how to cook them, and make friends at uni which can be hard particularly in current climate.

Last Saturday night, club members and guests celebrated the club handover at Hound and Stag Brewery! 🍺

It was a fantastic night out, with plenty of fun vibes and good times celebrating our club’s achievements! We are looking forward to achieving new clubs goals for this year in line with this year’s Presidential message “Unite for Good”! 🎉🎉🎉

Our club handover was especially extra special, as club member Jacqui was named a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF)! IPDG Lisa Hunt named Jacqui as a PHF in honour of her work with youth programs and very recently, RYPEN which had over 50 students attend that camp! Congratulations Jacqui! 🥳🥳🥳
