Earlier this month, Indigenous Christian translators from across the Top End gathered in Darwin for a two-week Experienced Translators Workshop.

The workshop gave translation teams dedicated time to continue translating Scripture in their own languages, with several groups reaching exciting milestones, including completing Bible book drafts and recording Scripture and songs.

Praise God for the faithful work happening in these language groups! Please pray for more Indigenous translators and more people to support this important ministry.

Our remote distribution workers Rob and Lisa Clements travel to communities in Central Australia with Scripture resources in local Indigenous languages. They set up bookstalls outside community shops and churches, creating opportunities to connect with people and local church leaders.

Recently, AuSIL Director Brian and intern Bek Moody with her husband Sam joined them on their Warlpiri route!

It's such a blessing to partner with other organisations who long to see increased access to Scripture in Australia. We recently met with people from Bible Society, Nungalinya College, Wycliffe, YWAM, Coordinate and GRN as part of the Scripture in Indigenous Australian Languages (SAIL) collaboration. At the same time, Mawng translators were working on 1 Thessalonians next door. Praise God for the way he enables his people to work together.

This week we have teams from two Bible colleges in Sydney visiting us in Darwin. They've been such an encouragement as they've served and learnt more about ministry in the NT.
