You're warmly invited to QSY HQ for the next session of (in)Visible Movie Club, our cosy, community space to watch, feel, and talk about films from around the world.

This time we're watching Saving Face, a warm and funny story about identity, family, and love across generations, followed by an open discussion once the credits roll.

No film knowledge needed, just bring your curiosity, your feelings, and your willingness to share. Snacks, good company, and great cinema await.

Content warnings:

Family rejection/disownment related to sexuality and unplanned pregnancy
Outing (a character's sexuality is revealed without full consent)
Internalised homophobia and pressure to stay closeted
Racist remarks made by a character (played for discomfort, later undercut)
Sexual content
Strong language (occasional coarse language)
Reference to family/generational conflict and cultural shame.

National Sorry Day is a time to acknowledge the devastating impact of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families and to reflect on what genuine reconciliation looks like.

We stand in solidarity with First Nations communities, and we commit to listening, learning, and doing better.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
