Perinatal Wellbeing Centre

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre Supporting families experiencing antenatal and postnatal (perinatal) depression and anxiety. We believe your family deserves the best start in life.

Our vision is to improve the perinatal mental health of women, men and their families. If you or your partner are suffering from Perinatal (Post or Antenatal) Depression or Anxiety we are here to help you through this difficult time. Postnatal Depression (PND) can affect up to 16% of women (and 10% of men) with the onset usually occurring during the first year after birth. Antenatal Depression (AN

D) affects as many as 10% of women with onset at any time during pregnancy. Remember you are not alone in this; adjustment to parenting can be challenging for many parents. If you are experiencing overwhelming worry and/or low mood which is negatively affecting your life every day it could be postnatal depression. That's why we encourage you to speak to your GP and to read more about the services Perinatal Wellbeing Centre can offer. Give us a call - in confidence - to discuss your needs. Click on the links above to find out more. And don't forget, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre also helps dads as well as mums!

It’s Infant Mental Health Awareness Week, and this year’s theme is ‘Attunement’!

Attunement is the ability to tune in and connect with others on an emotional level. It is important for everyone, but particularly for babies and their parents or carers. Attuned relationships support both baby and parental wellbeing and help babies get off to the very best start in life.

Specialised parent-infant relationship teams and services play an important role in supporting and strengthening attuned relationships between babies and their parents or carers. At the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre, we support parent-infant relationships through mental health support services for parents, facilitating attuned relationships and parental wellbeing alike.

Attuned relationships help babies to feel safe and loved, and help them learn to regulate their emotions, supporting good infant mental health.

Everyone can benefit from learning more about attunement and there are lots of resources and tools available to help.

We wore red to celebrate the Global Day of Parents! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 ❤️

This year’s theme - “Together for Parents” - reminds us that parents need care, connection and support too, especially during pregnancy and early parenthood.

At the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre, we walk alongside parents with compassionate mental health support, connection, practical strategies and a safe space to be heard. Parents are at the heart of a child’s wellbeing, and when we support parents, we help families thrive.

Join us in celebrating parents everywhere!
