We had Tom Campbell visiting us this morning with some social work students doing their placements at Mission Australia. We got to share our journey & answer questions. Such a blessing to share what we have learnt & God willing it was a blessing to the next generation.

Tuesday has become a bake day! We were given bags of flour and with a little bit of chocolate we have made some Fresh Muffins to give to people experiencing homelessness in the City Area.

More moments to cherish from yesterday's BBQ. It was truly a beautiful day from start to finish.

We had a bbq today to mark our last time together & as a big thank you to our volunteers. We were celebrating our run of having a Free Food Pantry for 6 years. It was great to be able to have a delicious meal together & just talk. It was also Manual’s 80th Bday today so we got to honour him as well. We finally saw Julian’s magic tricks AND THEY WERE AMAZING!! 🤩
A lot of fun & great memories shared. Bitter sweet 🥲

It’s like starting over. 1st day without the pantry.
Still going.

FLASHBACK: to that time when we had 17 crates of green beans. A lot of recipes for green beans went around that day.

Four years. One meal a month. More than 200 people fed each time.

Through Living Hope Missions, we had the privilege of bringing together an incredible group of people to provide hot, nourishing meals—free of charge—to those in need.

In these photos, you’ll see the heart behind the outreach: a busy commercial kitchen, people lining up for food, and some very special ladies from the church who faithfully prepared the meals with love.

On every occasion, we prepared 50 containers of food for people experiencing homelessness, as part of an outreach that, over four years, helped feed hot food for more than 200 people each month.

It wasn’t always easy. The work was physically demanding, and sadly, some of the wonderful women who had given so much could not continue with the heavy work.

But we are incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every meal prepared.
Grateful for every person who volunteered.
Grateful for every conversation and every life touched.
And grateful that we were able to serve our community for as long as we did.

Sometimes outreach isn’t about doing something huge. Sometimes it’s simply about showing up, preparing a meal, and reminding someone that they are seen, valued and not forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this possible. 🙏

The powerhouse that is Susan. Such a pleasure to have her as part of our team. Rain, hail or shine she has been with us & we are forever grateful.
