It’s like starting over. 1st day without the pantry.

FLASHBACK: to that time when we had 17 crates of green beans. A lot of recipes for green beans went around that day.

Four years. One meal a month. More than 200 people fed each time.

Through Living Hope Missions, we had the privilege of bringing together an incredible group of people to provide hot, nourishing meals—free of charge—to those in need.

In these photos, you’ll see the heart behind the outreach: a busy commercial kitchen, people lining up for food, and some very special ladies from the church who faithfully prepared the meals with love.

On every occasion, we prepared 50 containers of food for people experiencing homelessness, as part of an outreach that, over four years, helped feed hot food for more than 200 people each month.

It wasn’t always easy. The work was physically demanding, and sadly, some of the wonderful women who had given so much could not continue with the heavy work.

But we are incredibly grateful.

Grateful for every meal prepared.
Grateful for every person who volunteered.
Grateful for every conversation and every life touched.
And grateful that we were able to serve our community for as long as we did.

Sometimes outreach isn’t about doing something huge. Sometimes it’s simply about showing up, preparing a meal, and reminding someone that they are seen, valued and not forgotten.

It was a pleasure to welcome Minister for Social Services Tanya Plibersek for a visit. We enjoyed sharing our story, talking about the journey God has taken us on, and the vision for where we're heading. Thank you for the thoughtful questions, the genuine interest, and for taking the time to listen.

Sometimes it's worth looking back to appreciate how far you've come.

These photos capture some of the community hubs we once hosted at Living Hope Missions, where people came together to improve their English, participate in gentle bend and stretch classes, and build meaningful connections with others.

These programs played an important role in creating a welcoming environment where learning, wellbeing, and community went hand in hand. They represent an important chapter in our journey and the many lives we've had the privilege of supporting.

Today, our community hubs have evolved into creativity-based programs that continue to encourage connection, confidence, and belonging. While the activities have changed, our purpose remains the same: supporting people with dignity, compassion, and practical assistance.

Alongside our community programs, we're proud to continue providing free food every Tuesday through our Missions Pantry, ensuring individuals and families have access to essential support when they need it most.

We're incredibly grateful to our volunteers, partners, supporters, and everyone who has walked alongside us over the years. Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more connected community. We look forward to continuing this work and creating many more stories worth looking back on.
