Kewarra Beach Parkrun event # 46 - 13.06.26

Today’s parkrun was the best. We celebrated the day with our brand new Run Director Sam!! Congratulations Sam on your debut. Bringing so much joy to our community event and welcoming everyone with a big smile.

We had visitors from Newcastle and Fingal Bay that are both here for the Ironman event starting in Palm cove tomorrow!! Good luck and go well.

After a fantastic briefing from Run Director Sam 121 runners, joggers, walkers and barkrunners 🐕 set off to enjoy what must be one of the most scenic 2.5 lap courses anywhere.

A big welcome to our brand-new parkrun family members who chose Kewarra Beach for their debut today: Jemma Adzievski, Vicki Loy, Amy Byng, Stevie Richardson, Ebony Piper, Brad Simpson, Maurice Evans, Rebecca Luck, Tilly Byng, Troy Byng, Noel Davis. parkrun Kewarra Beach event # 45 06.06.26 run report

it’s always a celebration at Kewarra Beach Park Run and today was no different. There were five ladies all celebrating their 40th birthday.
So everyone got to sing happy birthday to them

We had visitors from Tasmania, Adelaide and Newcastle.

Fun fact about Newcastle Park Run
It was formed that long ago that they actually let the event team call it by the Shortened down term of affection for Newcastle ‘Newy’ parkrun. The Newcastle Park Run is actually held in the suburb of Carrington that is three suburbs removed from the Newcastle location.

After a fantastic briefing from Run Director Nick 145 runners, joggers, walkers and barkrunners 🐕 set off to enjoy the fauna. Yes, that’s right fauna there was a dolphin sighting offshore and a sea eagle in the trees near the bridge. We are surrounded by this beautiful natural location.
