🌿Explore, learn and connect at the Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Conversations🌿

Join residents, landholders, students, educators, environmental volunteers and anyone with an interest in local waterways for a hands-on day of learning, sharing knowledge and connecting with others who care about the Yarrowee Leigh catchment.

Discover the rivers, creeks and landscapes that connect Ballarat to Inverleigh, take part in WaterWatch monitoring activities, explore water quality testing equipment, and share your own observations and stories about the waterways that matter to you.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer or simply curious about local waterways, this free event is a great opportunity to build your knowledge, connect with your community and help shape future citizen science activities across the catchment.

Unfortunately this Saturday's planting at the Peady Street Reserve has had to be postponed due to unforseen circumstances.

Please join the Friends of the Woady for their last planting day of the season.  This planting will complete our focus on improving the habitat for the native swamp rat hence the concentration on ground cover and grasses.  Our planting program next year will focus more on shrubs and some trees but we will be continuing our "flora for fauna" approach to try and restore as close as we can a natural ecosystem for the Woady.

Hope to see you all there and of course the normal real coffee and CWA cakes will be provided for morning tea.
