JOIN OUR HEALTH OR EDUCATION TEAMS THIS YEAR!

Looking for something meaningful to do at the end of the year?
Our Health and Education Teams in Nepal offer the opportunity to step outside the classroom or clinic at home and work alongside local communities in rural Nepal.

From supporting the health of these communities, or to assisting in teachers and students within classrooms, our volunteers contribute to real, community-led programs whilst learning from Nepali communities.

If you’re looking for purpose, connection, and an unforgettable experience, this could be your end-of-year opportunity!

Enquire now to join us Nepal. Email Graeme at [email protected].

Help us make a real difference this End of Financial year, and help with a donation for Nepali projects!

As the end of the financial year comes close, we encourage you to consider supporting our project partners in Nepal. Our projects have seen facilities improved for learning and meeting, training workshops provided in women’s health and education, water supplies improved and toilet/wash facilities rebuilt. As well the provision of essential teaching resources for teachers in remote schools.

All donations over $2 will receive a receipt that can be claimed as a tax deduction.
We and our Nepali partners value your consideration and support. Thank you.

Passionate about making change through education?

Join Our EDUCATION TEAM in Nepal!

Education is deeply valued by Nepali communities, and many make great sacrifices for their children to learn. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to support local teachers with new strategies, practical resources, and shared knowledge.
You’ll work alongside local teachers, schools and their communities, as well as our trusted partner, Global Action Nepal, to build confidence, skills, and sustainable teaching practices.

Come ready to share. Come ready to learn.

This week, Australia celebrates (18–24 May) and the 2026 theme: “Your Year to Volunteer.”

At AAA, we want to recognise and thank every volunteer who has contributed their time, energy and passion to supporting communities in Nepal over the past 25 years.

From education and healthcare to animal welfare and community projects, our organisation would not exist without the dedication of volunteers willing to step forward and make a real difference.
Volunteering is more than giving your time; it’s about building connections, learning from others, and becoming part of something bigger than yourself.

To all past, present and future AAA volunteers: thank you. Your commitment continues to create meaningful impact in communities across Nepal.
2026 is Your Year to Volunteer and we encourage anyone wanting to create lasting memories, meaningful friendships and real community impact to join us on the journey.

What we do is more than a once-off visit.

“My time in the village was fantastic as I met people who welcomed me and understood that we can be colleagues, friends and partners. I knew I could contribute my skills in this short time. Thank you AAA for providing this link and opportunity” - Previous AAA volunteer

For 25 years, Aussie Action Abroad has supported communities across Nepal, building lasting relationships grounded in connection, commitment and care.
Our programs are about more than just travel — they are about working alongside local communities, learning from one another, and creating meaningful partnerships that continue long after the expedition ends.

If this sounds like something important to you, please give us a like, follow or enquiry on how you too can become involved.

Healthcare access looks different around the world.

Our Health Team works alongside local professionals to support community health initiatives across Nepal. This year, we’re heading into more remote communities to work with local centres and women’s groups, focusing on improving the health and wellbeing of Nepali women.

Through open, women-to-women conversations, we listen, learn, and share knowledge to support the delivery of health education in a meaningful and community-led way. These experiences highlight the power of connection, collaboration, and learning from one another.

IMPROVING COMMUNITY FACILITIES IN NEPAL.

Our Community Action/Facility Improvement Team focuses on construction and facility improvements for schools and community spaces, working side by side with local Nepali communities.
This year, projects include continuing the development of a shared community space and enhancing the learning environment of a remote school. Our teams collaborate closely to deliver meaningful, practical outcomes where they’re needed most.

For our volunteers, working alongside Nepali people and learning from their skills and resilience is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Help us , by getting in touch with us or simply SHARE this post for others to join us.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST - TREK: MUSTANG , NEPAL

Planned for early April 2027, the group will meet in Kathmandu, stay a night, undertake a briefing with our Nepali staff and the next day fly to Pokhara and then onto Jomsom.

The Upper Mustang trek starts from Jomsom to Kagbeni, the entry point of upper Mustang Region. Then following the banks of Kaligandaki River upstream to get to Lo—Mangthang, the capital of the upper Mustang.

The trek starts from world’s deepest gorge Kaligandaki Region into world‘s highest regions of Lo-Mangthang Valley that passes through an almost treeless barren landscape, a steep rocky trail up and down hill and panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and several other peaks.

Interested in this challenging, but exciting trek?
