It’s never too late to go to Nepal with our team for 2-3 weeks in December!
As we head towards the end of the year, we still have a couple of spots available in our team to be in Nepal for 2 or 3 weeks.

We are have small team this year, which provides opportunity to share YOUR skills in remote communities to support schools, mothers groups, ongoing projects, and animals.

Our aim to is continue helping our partners in Kathmandu, our village and those affected by recent floods, who will value our involvement.

AAA would love your active involvement!
We have been able to deliver projects, build teams, collect funds and continue to support our colleagues throughout Nepal for the past 25 years.

All because we have had the help of dedicated volunteers. We thank them for their involvement and willingness to share their time and skills.

Importance of Nepali based Partners.

During the recent planning trip to Nepal, Catherine from the Board, spent valuable time with our trekking company partners.
These partners enable us to ensure our teams and individuals are well supported, guided and connected to the communities in which they support projects or live in their homes/tea houses at they trek the amazing trails.

Join our 2016/27 ANIMAL TEAM!

AAA in partnership with Sneha’s Care in Kathmandu are aiming to have a team of those who care for animals to share their love and willingness to go beyond, as the group will support animals in need in the flood affected area of Nepal as well as the sanctuary based in Kathmandu.

Based in Buninyong, Victoria, and led by Marilyn Kent, our incredible YAKS Group is a wonderful group of women who come together to gather, sew, sort, pack and prepare hundreds of hygiene packs for women and girls living in remote areas of Nepal. These packs are made possible by an amazing community effort.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped sew, cut and prepare materials, sorted and packed hygiene supplies and donated items such as toothbrushes, wash cloths and combs.
Every pack represents a small, meaningful way to support women and girls in remote communities and we need to keep going!

If you are travelling to Nepal for the Dashain Festival and would be able to carry some hygiene packs with you, we would love to hear from you.
Your help could make a real difference in getting these much-needed packs into the hands of women and girls in remote Nepal.

COMMUNITY ACTION TEAM – END OF 2026

We’re looking to welcome a few more volunteers to join our Community Action Team to Nepal this year, starting on 28 December 2026!

Our team is made up of people with a mix of skills, experiences and interests, working alongside one or two local schools, a Mothers’ Group and potentially a local health post.

It’s a hands-on experience for those who are happy to get their hands dirty, share their skills and knowledge, learn from local communities, and immerse themselves in life in remote Nepali villages.

Whether you have experience in education, health, construction, community development, or simply a willingness to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!

AAA is continuing to raise funds for those in Nepal affected by the devastating river flooding across the Rasuwa area.

We aim to support schools with student and teaching materials. All funds collected through AAA will be allocated directly to communities in need through our registered Nepali partners.

An update from Nepal!
Two beautiful baby hammocks and scales were lovingly sewn and donated by the wonderful Marijke, a South Australian private-practising homebirth midwife with over 30 years of experience.
When Marijke heard about the opportunity to support a fellow midwife, she didn’t hesitate. 💛
AAA Board Member Catherine was then able to personally deliver the hammocks and scales to Sangita, a dedicated midwife at the Ngadi Health Post in Nepal. These much-needed resources will assist Sangita in conducting health checks for the beautiful babies and families in her care.
Many of the mothers and babies Sangita supports live in extremely remote locations, with some requiring her to travel for hours to reach them.
This is what community, connection and support look like.

Like many throughout the world our Aussie Action Action Abroad community are shocked to see and read of the devastation of the river flooding in the Rasuwa area of Nepal.
Our thoughts and prayers are will communities that have been impacted, lost lives and infrastructure.
As a humanitarian charity with 25 years of experience in supporting Nepal communities, we aim to raise funds, resources and people power to assist where we can.

Calling for expressions of interest - Nepal Health Support Team.

We are inviting those who work in health, currently studying a health field and like to share your experience and knowledge, to consider being part of a VIRTUAL Health Team working party.

We realise that there are many people are not currently able to travel with us to Nepal, but who would love to be involved in some way. You can be involved from Australia!
We are calling for interested Australian health professionals and students to indicate their interest and when you can - join a zoom chat to learn about AAA and our Nepali partners and projects, Women2Women and how you can be involved from both Australia and in Nepal.
