🚨 BUNGENDORE
A LITTLE COMMUNITY VIGILANCE 👀
Hey beautiful Bungendore ❤️
Just a friendly heads-up to everyone in our community.
I’ve seen a few recent reports and conversations across the local Bungendore community pages about some suspicious activity around homes and properties - including people approaching verandas wearing dark clothing/hoodies with their faces covered, then leaving when security lights come on.
There have also been reports of unfamiliar vehicles driving slowly past properties, turning around in long driveways and generally behaving in ways that have made residents uncomfortable, including around areas such as Tarragor Road, New Elmslea and John Dwyer Cct.
Whether these incidents are connected or not, it’s worth being a little more vigilant right now.
🔐 Lock your doors - even when you’re home.
💡 Turn on those security lights.
📹 Check that your cameras are working and recording.
🚗 Take note of unfamiliar vehicles and number plates where it’s safe to do so.
🏡 If you have a long driveway, consider cameras covering the entrance as well as the house.
👀 Keep an eye out for your neighbours particularly those living alone, on larger or more isolated properties.
And most importantly, don’t put yourself at risk or confront anyone. If something genuinely suspicious is happening, report it to police.
We might live in a Beautiful Bungendore our lovely country community, but that doesn’t mean we should leave the front door open and hope for the best.
There may not be the same “castle law” protections here that people sometimes talk about, so prevention, good security and looking after one another are our best tools.
Let’s look out for each other and your pets they sometimes are the best deterrent. 🐾❤️🐾
Bungendore has always been strongest when we act like a community.
👀 See something suspicious?
Report it.
Keep an eye out.
Look after your neighbours.
Stay safe and feel free to share your stories here and warn others.
Thanks.
