It's coming...Spring is nearly here so time to go into those cupboards and sheds and dig out those treasures. All donations gratefully received.

I would like to thank the Regional Independent, ABC Radio Canberra, NJOY Security, The Royal Hotel Bungendore,
Gunna Doo - Cakes and Pies, Makerie by Hand for all their support from advertising to sponsorship to judging for the 2026 Great Granny Square Challenge.

Thank you to the community far and wide for you input and enthusiasm. It was with your help that we are able to present 1850 Granny Squares to Roundabout Canberra that will enable them to make over 35 blankets for those in need in our community.

I would also like to give a shout out to the mystery person from Braidwood that donated over 450 squares the day before our display. Just wonderful.

I personally would like to thank the branch members and friends that helped out from counting to organising, to assisting with judging and then the mammoth task of pinning all the squares up for display, and lending their own crochet items for display, and those who came on Saturday for the display. To the members that also provided morning tea on sat and then had to race off to another event

Happy World Granny Square day!
We received squares from Taralga, Goulburn, Braidwood, Bungendore, South Coast, Queanbeyan and the Canberra region from 62 individuals, bringing us to a total of 1850 squares to be donated to Roundabout Canberra to be lovingly turned into blankets. Huge thanks to ABC Canberra afternoons and also our local Newspaper the Regional Independant for your support.
Thank you to everyone who was involved and helped out today . You are all Superstars!!

A Sneak Peak at tomorrows, Great Granny Square Event. Just WOW. Community you have outdone yourself.
voting has now closed on the number of squares.
Doors open tomorrow at 930am.
We will announce prize winners and the number of squares from 1030am.
We have 2 lucky door prizes that will be drawn after that announcement.
We have a display table of many crocheted items for viewing to see all the different styles and things you can make.
We hope to see many of you tomorrow at the Bungendore War Memorial Hall at 51 Molonglo Street.

Judging was well underway this morning. Our judge Jacquie from Makerie was stunned at the amount of squares. Lucky winners will be notified today. Huge thanks to Jacquie for coming out to judge. It was a hard one.

GRANNY SQUARES GALORE!!!!
Well, how wonderful are all of you!
Our Squares are all set up for judging. We are going to have 1 last challenge in our challenge.
How many squares! I
f you were listening to ABC raidio on Friday afternoon, you would have heard that we had 891 squares!! We have now surpassed that number.
Make your guess in the comments and the closest number will win a prize. The offical total will be announced on Saturday at our finale showing. You have till COB Friday to make your guesses!
