🚒 Our night training on Saturday was great.
Brigade members participated in a vehicle fire training exercise at the Bungendore Sports Hub to practise responding safely and effectively to vehicle incidents.
🔥 Crews had the opportunity to work with a live fire training prop, allowing firefighters to experience realistic fire behaviour in a controlled environment.
👨‍🚒 The exercise focused on scene size-up, safe appliance positioning, hose deployment, and crew coordination during a vehicle fire response.
🤝 It was great to see strong turnout from across the brigade, with members gaining valuable hands-on experience and building confidence working together on the fireground.

🚒 Bungendore Brigade – Night Training Notice

This Saturday night (9 May), Bungendore Brigade will be conducting night training exercises in and around the village.
📍 You may notice fire trucks moving through the area, along with red and blue emergency lights on at specific locations.
�🔥 Controlled live fire will be part of the training. �⏰ Training will run approximately from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
This is all part of keeping our firefighters skilled and ready to protect the community. There is no cause for alarm.

🚒 Training Together, Stronger Together �This month Bungendore was proud to host training alongside our neighbouring brigades.
Getting to know one another, working as a team and learning together is vital — because when incidents occur, we rely on each other. Whether at training, on the fireground or in support roles, teamwork makes all the difference.

Fantastic day out at the Bungendore Harvest Festival. We had a huge turn out from the community, plenty of discussion about bush and grass fire safety and some good reminders for all to get chimneys cleaned!

🔥 Bush Fire Danger Period Has Ended 🔥
The Bush Fire Danger Period has now finished, which means fire permits are no longer required for burning.

✅ Before you light up, remember: �• You must notify the NSW Rural Fire Service�• You must notify your neighbours at least 24 hours before burning �• Always check weather conditions and ensure your fire is attended by a responsible adult and you can contain and fully extinguish the fire

Please burn responsibly to keep your family, neighbours, and our community safe. If conditions change, burning may still be restricted on higher fire danger days.

🚒 We’re still here at the Preschool Fair! 🚒
We’ve been at Mick Sherd Oval this morning and there’s still a few hours to go. Plenty of time to come down, chat with our local firefighters, check out the trucks and equipment, and pick up some great bushfire safety information. We’ve had our colleagues from Boro, Wamboin and Mulloon here too!

🚒 See You at the Preschool Fair! 🚒
The Bungendore Rural Fire Brigade will be at the Preschool Fair on Saturday 28 February from 9am at Mick Sherd Oval, Bungendore.
Come along and check out our fire trucks, enjoy some fun activities for the kids, and have a chat with our local firefighters about bushfire safety and what we do in the community.

Out training this morning with our friends from the Wamboin brigade. No cause for alarm! We train on the second Saturday of the month to keep skills sharp and practice with new capabilities.

We have a Total Fire Ban tomorrow and Extreme Fire Danger.

🔥 This means that if a fire starts, it is expected to move quickly and be unpredictable.
🏠 You should know your plan for tomorrow, particularly the afternoon, and for over the weekend, will you leave early or are you well prepared?
🔧 General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are not to be done in the open.
