Congratulations to Bushlink employees Max and Will for their outstanding contribution to the community through volunteering! They were recognised by Dr Sophie Scamps MP, Member for Mackellar, at her volunteer awards night this week. Both are involved in local sporting groups, Will also helps as the Salvos and volunteers some of his time at Bushlink. Deserved recognition!

We’re currently looking for three people to join us for a Friday shift, and we would love to hear from you, or someone you know, if you’re keen to become a member of our Bushlink team!

Our teams are based in Brookvale and work across Sydney's northern suburbs, making a real difference to the natural environment and the community.

This is a great opportunity for ambulant people living with mild to moderate disabilities, who would enjoy being outdoors, working with their hands, and being part of a supportive team.

Bushlink offers paid work opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in bush regeneration and gardening services. Bush Regeneration Assistants work in supported teams with experienced supervisors who provide daily training and guidance.

𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻!
Bushlink employees Mark and Josh recently helped supervisors Jack and Nick to build our new shed. This vital equipment was funded by Matt Cross MP, Member for Davidson, and will enable the safe and secure storage of a suite of gardening tools.

Gardening is an exciting new venture for Bushlink, enabling new skill development and opening up opportunities for our existing and future workforce. 📣 COMMUNITY INFORMATION EVENING AT BUSHLINK AND NORTHSIDE Thursday 28th May — OPEN TO ALL
Register here to join us on Thursday 28th May from 6pm–8pm at Northside Enterprise, 5/26 William Street, Brookvale. Acknowledging the challenging environment for families and primary carers we are pleased to welcome Daniel from Carer Gateway as our guest speaker, who will provide important information on supports and services available for carers and families, including respite, counselling, coaching and practical support options available through Carer Gateway. This will be a relaxed and informative evening where we will also share updates on what is happening across Northside and Bushlink, including:

🌱 Bushlink and our growing environmental and inclusion programs
🎨 EmpowerMe and the exciting activities and pathways being developed for participants
🎉 The Social Club and upcoming social and community opportunities
This evening is open to participants, families, carers, support coordinators and anyone interested in learning more about Northside and the broader disability community. Light refreshments provided. 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹!
Bushlink runs inclusive, curriculum aligned environmental sessions in schools, and recently visited The Beach School on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Our supported workers are adults with disability and visit schools to work alongside students on hands-on gardening and bush care activities.

The sessions are practical, outdoors and engaging, helping students learn about caring for the environment while also building natural understanding of inclusion and diversity through real life interaction.

𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆'𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁!
Last week two Bushlink teams planted 150 locally indigenous species after rehabilitating a patch of Duffy's Forest in Belrose. This ecologically important project highlights our adaptability and skills in sensitive bush regeneration.

Well done to the crews and thanks to Northern Beaches Council. 👏🙏
