We’re thrilled to be partnering with WorkSafe Victoria’s Return to Work Innovations program on a Recovery through work grant!

Disability workers experience high rates of mental injury, but regional workers often have limited access to the support they need to recover and return to work.

Through this grant, Lifely will pilot and develop a practical regional model that aims to:
• Help workplaces recognise and respond to mental injury earlier
• Connect workers with support sooner
• Improve recovery and return-to-work outcomes

The pilot will be trialled to all Lifely employees in early 2027.

And Lifely won’t be the only organisation to benefit. We’ll share what we learn with the other members of the Loddon Mallee Disability Alliance. Together, our five not-for-profit, NDIS-registered organisations employ around 2,000 people across regional and rural Victoria.

We’ll also work closely with WorkSafe Victoria and explore opportunities for scaling more broadly into the future.

Thank you to Return to Work Innovations for supporting this important work. We can’t wait to get started!

A highlight from the dog show! 🐾

Edward had a wonderful time meeting a friendly Shiba Inu and spending the day surrounded by some truly delightful canine companions. The outing was filled with smiles, wagging tails, and plenty of opportunities to interact with the dogs, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

What a memorable evening for our Basketball for All team!

After joining the Mildura HEAT players in singing the national anthem, our athletes took to the court for a half-time exhibition match, sharing their passion for basketball with the wider community.

Basketball for All creates opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy sport, build confidence, develop friendships and experience the sense of belonging that comes with being part of a team. Nights like this show just how powerful inclusive sport can be.

Thank you, Mildura HEAT, for sharing your stage with our players and helping make memories that will last a lifetime. 🏀✨

Yesterday's NDIS changes may affect how support is accessed, but they do not change who deserves it.

People do not become less deserving of support because government policies change. The need for assistance, inclusion, independence, and opportunity remains just as real as it was before these new rules came into effect.

We understand that many participants, families, and carers may be feeling concerned about what these changes mean. As the sector continues to work through the details, we want to remind our community of one important truth:

Your need for support remains valid. Always.

Last year, we shared Travis’ love of fishing and the time he enjoys spending along the Loddon River. While fishing remains one of his favourite ways to unwind, he has achieved so much since then.

In 2025, Travis successfully completed a Barista Course, RSA, Food Handlers Certificate, First Aid Certificate and Customer Service Essentials course, building valuable skills for future employment. In 2026, he continued this journey by completing a Ready to Work course.
A major milestone was receiving his first job interview since completing his courses—an exciting step that reflects his hard work and determination.

Travis has also taken a big step towards independence by moving into his own home. Through attending Lifely’s Our Choice program and the Adult Social Group, he has met new people, built friendships and stepped outside his comfort zone, growing in confidence along the way.
He also volunteers at Let’s Chat Park, supporting people experiencing mental health challenges. His willingness to give back highlights his caring nature and the positive impact he has on others.

From gaining new qualifications and achieving his first job interview to becoming more independent, socially connected and community-minded, Travis has come such a long way. We’re incredibly proud of his achievements and the determination he continues to show. Travis’ journey is a wonderful reflection of Lifely’s commitment to “making the everyday better” and supporting people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Well done, Travis! We’re excited to see what comes next! 🎣💙
