💛Today Australia was bright yellow, and so was the Amicus office💛

This Daffodil Day our team came together for morning tea to raise awareness and show support for those affected by cancer by donating.

We also had some fun making arts and crafts daffodils, which brought plenty of laughter and smiles throughout the morning!

A little more denim than usual at Amicus last Thursday👖

Jeans for Genes Day is one many of us grew up with. A great play on words, but an even greater way to show support of the paediatric research by the Children's Medical Research Institute.

It was pyjamas all around at Amicus for National Pyjama Day! 🎉💤

Our team got into the spirit by wearing their comfiest pyjamas and coming together to support this wonderful cause. While it was a fun day, it was also a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a positive difference to the lives of children and young people in foster care 💙

National Pyjama Day is a great initiative, and all money raised by Amicus will go directly to The Pyjama Foundation.

📣 Amicus to unite with Lifely 📣

Lifely and Amicus Community Services have announced a pivotal step to unite and enhance support for people with disability, their families, and carers.

Supports will continue as normal, with no interruption, and services will be provided by Lifely.

As Amicus transfers its programs and staff to Lifely, it will wind down operations and concentrate its resources and support with Lifely.

🦋 What a wonderful day at BDAC's NAIDOC Family Day 2026! 💛

Our Amicus Butterfly decorating activity was a huge hit, with families bringing it to life with their own creative touches 🎨✨

We were honoured to witness the traditional smoking ceremony and captivating cultural dance performances, celebrating the rich history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples 🌿

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, took part in our butterfly activity, and celebrated NAIDOC Family Day with us, a day of learning, culture and community.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this one to connect with the community, share in conversations and represent Amicus at such an important event, supporting the spirit of NAIDOC Week.. 🌺

Disability Pride Month is an opportunity to reflect on how we can continue to foster accessibility, challenge barriers, and create a culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Next week we will be attending the Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-Operative NAIDOC Family Day 2026 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Come and enjoy free, family-friendly activities inspired by the theme “Fifty Years of DEADLY", which pays tribute to the people who built the NAIDOC movement: the Elders who stood firm, the organisers who made space, the artists who turned resistance into expression, and the communities who keep showing up, year after year.

This is a very special celebration and we would love to see you there, next Wednesday July 8 at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre from 10.30am 🫶

Since becoming available through Amicus, Melissa Court respite house in Castlemaine has provided a safe, supportive and comfortable environment with spacious living areas, accessible facilities, beautiful outdoor spaces and opportunities to build everyday skills 💙

Designed to support people with disabilities while providing carers and families a well-deserved break, Melissa Court is a purpose-built respite home. Participants staying at Melissa Court can access community activities, life skills development, one-to-one support and personalised experiences in a fully accessible environment.
