We’re thrilled to announce a $10,000 Benefit Bendigo grant to (BWNS) 🎉😱

With the weather getting cooler it is a pivotal time for BWNS as they provide safe overnight accommodation, meals and connection to support services for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Our grant, along with those from other generous groups, will enable to provide necessary support to the homeless community in Greater Bendigo

We’re so excited to see Bendigo Woodturners have been able to purchase a NEW woodworking jointer thanks to their $5,000 Benefit Bendigo Grant.
To celebrate this new piece of machinery, Stuart from Bendigo Bank paid them a visit and put it to the test himself 🎉👏

Stuart said “The new Jointer is already making a huge difference for the club and I was so impressed by the workshop, every tool in its place and a clean environment, which is a real testament to the clubs safety standards.”

Kendall and Carla from Bendigo Bank recently visited the for ‘Village Lunch’, which takes place on Tuesday’s during the school term from 12.30pm – 1.30pm. Village lunch provides an opportunity to share lunch with your neighbours, cooked by your neighbours. Lunch is free, with donations towards the meal gratefully accepted.

Kendall said “Village Lunch was a really engaging experience, demonstrating the power of community and how it brings people together from all walks of life. Our visit was an opportunity to decompress from work for an hour and, at the same time, engage with members of our community. It was also great to hear what’s in store for the Old Church as they continue to build this valuable community initiative.”

Last Wednesday we officially launched Benefit Bendigo with a celebration at Bendigo Banks’ Mitchell Street branch.

A huge thanks goes to the Mitchell Street branch team for hosting us, to Gather Grace for the amazing finger food, and to all the guests who came along to celebrate our official launch to find out more about what we do. 🎉

It was a great night with local dignitaries, businesses, not-for-profits and, very importantly, some of our inaugural grant recipients, who shared the stories behind their organisations and how granting from initiatives, such as Benefit Bendigo, directly benefit members of our community and create positive change for their organisations.

Thanks to Rose from The Old Church on the Hill and Jo from Sports Focus for sharing their stories, we loved hearing about your journeys and how important funding is to help you do all the wonderful things you do.

And finally, an incredibly special mention goes to our funding partner, Bendigo Bank who makes what we do possible.

Head to our website (🔗link in our bio) to learn how we can build a better Greater Bendigo together.
