Live Music Bendigo Inc. Live Music Bendigo is a volunteer community organisation that was established in 2021 following the challenges to live music resulting from the COVID pandemic.

Live Music Bendigo (LMB) is a not-for-profit community organisation with an express purpose of growing Bendigo’s live music industry and it's reputation as a leading live music City in regional Victoria. The committee consists of local people who are involved in live music locally as performers, venue managers, event promoters and music industry businesses. The committee are all acting on a volunt

ary basis with no payment for their time and efforts. Initial funding for the survey and research phase of the organisation coming from a grant from the Ulumbarra Foundation, and we acknowledge their important contribution towards achieving our strategy. Our aim is to support a rejuvenated, vibrant, sustainable and diverse local live music scene through the realisation of our purpose as stated in our Rules of Incorporation;

The purpose of the association is to grow Bendigo’s live music industry and consequently its reputation as a leading live music city in regional Victoria. This will be achieved through;
- The provision of support and encouragement to Bendigo and central Victorian live music industry participants including:
- Musicians (amateur, students, professionals)
- Live music venues
- Music retailers, suppliers, community groups and businesses
- Live music audiences and participants
- Support to broaden access to live music participation for all, including disadvantaged, disabled, CALD and First Nations communities.
- The celebration of achievements and successes of Bendigo and central Victorian live music industry participants

Another monster LMB radio show. Gippsland’s Ally Row dropped in with guitars, harmonica, banjo, and the rest, to play 2 songs live on air, including their fantastic cover of Folsom Prison Blues. Ally Row chatted about their life changing last 18 months that have led to their Mark Seymour support spot. Then, hot off the View Street Amplified stage, 3 members of Melbourne 4-piece The Royal High Jinx came in with guitar, mandolin and the show’s first violin to play 3 tracks live in the studio. The show also features new music for LMB favourites, Bendigo’s Dog and Through The Night and news on local gigs.

This week on the LMB radio show we welcome back for the first time since October 2024 is Gippsland's Ally Row before they head to The Capital to support Mark Seymour. They are bringing their guitars, and it will no doubt be a special live performance. The Melbourne's The Royal High Jinx will bring their amazing performance straight from the steps of The Capital after their View Street Amplified performance. This could be our first in-studio performance including violin. Plus, the team will have new music for Bendigo's Dog and Through The Night. Check it all out from 2pm Saturday on Phoenix FM 106.7 MHz, the voice of your community.

Angus and Brett were joined in the Phoenix FM 106.7 MHz studio by Junkyard Wizards who are originally from Woodend but now have members based in Bendigo, Melbourne and Woodend before they head to their gig at Let’s Chat Park Bendigo. Then Albury/Wodonga/Wangaratta outfit SOULSLEEP dropped in with a borrowed acoustic guitar and an acoustic rework of their track "Faults" which was specially reimagined over the last 24 hours for the LMB radio show. They did such a good job that they are now considering adding it to their live repertoire. SOULSLEEP then headed to the Golden Vine Hotel Bendigo for their spot on Heretic Frequency's Tic'd Off bill. The team also featured new releases for Castlemaine's Eliza Hull and Shonah.

This week on the LMB radio show on Phoenix FM 106.7 MHz the team welcome to the studio for the first time Junkyard Wizards from the Macedon Ranges who are in town for their spot on the "Off With His Head" bill at Let’s Chat Park. Then Albury/Wodonga's SOULSLEEP will drop in for a chat before heading to the Golden Vine Hotel Bendigo for their spot on the "Tic'd Off" lineup. The team will also play new local music for Castlemaine's Eliza Hull and Shonah. From 2pm this Saturday on 106.7FM or stream via phoenixfm.org.au

Angus, Andy & Brett together in the studio to celebrate and they were joined across the show by LMB team members Beth HC, Mick D, Meg A and Barnaby. The team played the new single for Bendigo duo Jung Lovers then welcomed to the studio for the first time Melbourne based Queenie and guitarist Brendan for a chat and a couple of amazing live tracks off the back of their ALWAYS LIVE pop-up show. Glenn Musto made a special trip to Bendigo to be part of the show before his gigs at Three Dams Estate in Heathcote next weekend. All this and some music from artists playing across the region this weekend.

What a week it has been for the Live Music Bendigo radio show! Recognised at the Australian Audio Awards as the Best Australian Music Program (small) and this Saturday marks our 100th show. The celebration this weekend includes very special live performances from Queenie and then Glenn Musto. Plus, members of the team who have helped get us to show 100 will drop in for a chat. And as if that weren't big enough, we also have the new release for Bendigo's own Jung Lovers. Join the team from 2pm Saturday on Phoenix FM 106.7 MHz for a very special celebration of local live music.

Last night in Sydney the Live Music Bendigo radio show was acknowledged for the amazing work we do supporting our local live music scene. Thank you to all the presenters, artists, videographers and guests who have built this concept from the ground. Our thanks to Phoenix FM 106.7 MHz for giving us the opportunity to create a show that leads regional Australia for local music scene engagement.
