It’s Spring!

Birds are making their nests so it’s time for us to help them!

We are making birds nests helpers hangers with
String
Woolly bits
Grasses
Sticks
Moss
Cotton wool
Clay

And we are also making a little bird using a cone clay and natural bits and bobs to hang out with the birds nest helper hangers

Times: 10am -12 pm

As usual kids bring own snack boxes to graze throughout the morning !

Its Book Week!

Botanikids session is at Loreto , Little Flower Church Campus ( Wendouree Pde opp. the Olympic Rings) on Tuesday 25th August 10am
This week we are celebrating Book Week with a visit of an author
Sally Learey

Ballarat Wonderland
Sally had written a delightful book of a family who visit all of Ballarat’s key spots including the Lake and Gardens !

Sally will read the book to us and spend time with us all including a session with the students after our session.

This is a very special session and hope we see you all !

The children may dress as a favourite book character ss we will have a little book parade but please just use something from your dress up box keep it simple and fun !

Year is Science Week at Botanikids !

We are always curious about and kearn about the natural world of plants.

This Term we have walked talked discovered collected created and learned about trees leaves bark moss lichen water bugs and coming up is a study of bulbs !

Bring money ( small stones) to ‘buy’ some great bargains to create your own amazing nature artifacts toys stick.family bug hotels at home. great to add.to. nature baskets , loose parts to mud kitchens and cubby areas at home.

A sister Friends groups story

From our friends in Hamilton.
The old animal enclosure at the Hamilton Gardens is transforming into the much anticipated Nature Based Play Space. The Friends are delighted with the redevelopment and looking forward to the reaction of children and their families.

The AGM will take place on 25th September with guest speaker Judy Prasser
