Today, on National Sorry Day, we acknowledge the strength, resilience, and survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, especially the Stolen Generations and their families.
As members of the Somali community living on this land, we recognise the importance of truth telling, healing, and standing together in solidarity.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present and honour the continuing connection of First Nations peoples to culture, community, and Country.
May we continue learning from one another and building a future grounded in respect, justice, and shared humanity.
