It was a pleasure to welcome Dr. Ravza and her partner to the NSW Turkish Welfare Association, where they stopped by to reconnect with old friends and share her current book with our community.
A special thank you to Ezel Jupiter for organising this wonderful and enjoyable meeting. We are excited to see Dr. Ravza’s new book coming out soon and wish her every success! 📚✨

30 AUGUST – VICTORY DAY
This morning, the NSW Turkish Welfare Association came together with members of our community in Sydney to commemorate 30 August Victory Day — Zafer Bayramı, one of the most significant and meaningful days in Turkish history.
On 30 August 1922, the Turkish nation achieved the decisive victory at the Battle of Dumlupınar, under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This historic victory became a defining moment in the Turkish War of Independence and paved the way for the birth of the Republic of Türkiye.
For Turkish people around the world, 30 August represents much more than a military victory. It is a symbol of freedom, independence, courage, unity, determination and hope. It reminds us of the extraordinary sacrifices made by those who stood together for the future of their homeland and generations to come.
Today, we honour and remember with the deepest respect Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, our fallen heroes, veterans and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the independence and sovereignty of Türkiye.
Their courage and sacrifice remain forever a part of our history and our identity.
As Turkish Australians, thousands of kilometres from Türkiye, days such as 30 August bring us together and remind us of the importance of keeping our history, culture, language and values alive and passing them proudly to future generations.
We are grateful for the opportunity to gather as a community, remember where we came from, honour those who came before us, and celebrate the enduring spirit of the Turkish nation.

It was a great pleasure to host morning tea this morning for Consul Belgin Ergüneş of the Consulate General of Türkiye, together with representatives of the NSW Turkish Welfare Association, as she prepares to return to Türkiye at the end of her term.
It was an absolute pleasure to receive her visit as she makes her rounds through the community, saying her final goodbyes before completing her term in office.
During her time here, Consul Belgin Ergüneş has achieved so much for the Turkish community in such a short period. She has consistently encouraged the importance of unity, cohesion, harmony and collaboration within our community, and her leadership has made a meaningful and lasting impact.
We will dearly miss her leadership, warmth and the friendship she has brought to the Turkish community.
On behalf of everyone, we wish Consul Belgin Ergüneş every success, happiness and fulfilment in her next endeavours. 🇹🇷❤️
Thank you for all you have done Belgin hanim and all the very best for the journey ahead.

Bugun görev süresinin sonunda Türkiye’ye dönmeye hazırlanan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Başkonsolosu Sayın Belgin Ergüneş’i, NSW Türk Dayanisma Derneği temsilcileriyle birlikte sabah kahvesinde ağırlamaktan büyük bir memnuniyet duyduk.
Sayın Başkonsolosumuzun, görev süresini tamamlamadan önce toplumumuzla vedalaşmak ve son ziyaretlerini gerçekleştirmek amacıyla yaptığı ziyaret kapsamında kendisini ağırlamak bizler için büyük bir onurdu.

Sayın Belgin Ergüneş, burada bulunduğu süre içerisinde Türk toplumumuz için çok kısa bir zamanda çok önemli çalışmalara imza attı. Toplumumuz içerisinde birlik, beraberlik, uyum, dayanışma ve iş birliğinin önemini her zaman vurguladı. Gösterdiği liderlik ve özveri, Türk toplumumuz üzerinde anlamlı ve kalıcı bir iz bıraktı.

Onun liderliğini, sıcaklığını, samimiyetini ve Türk toplumuna kattığı dostluğu çok özleyeceğiz.

Hepimiz adına, Sayın Belgin Ergüneş’e bundan sonraki çalışmalarında ve yeni yolculuğunda başarı, mutluluk ve gönül huzuru diliyoruz. 🇹🇷❤️
