Ngurratjuta/Pmara Ntjarra Aboriginal Corporation is an association of all those communities “affected” by the oil and gas mining operations at Mereenie and Palm Valley receiving the royalties payable to those affected communities and groups under the Territory Land Right Act. Ngurratjuta was therefore, originally a royalty association, with a scope of activities covering a range of specialist supp
ort services. Ngurratjuta are governed by a wholly indigenous board of directors with representatives from each affected area. Due to the cessation of mining in the affected areas, Ngurratjuta has evolved into an investment organisation with a new business model and structure with the principle aim being strategic business growth, through purchasing, creating and growing current interests. Ngurratjuta Accounting Services has developed a great understanding of the complexities involved in remote community operations, indigenous organisations and local businesses. The Accounting Services aims to create and maintain strong relations between clients, funding bodies, government agencies and the general public. Ngurratjuta HR Services will provide vital support in areas such as policies and procedures, recruitment, induction, position descriptions, performance management and appraisal reviews. Our labour hire services are a new initiative created to carry on with existing contracts we have to supply labour to local and remote contractors.
