🎬 MEET OUR OPENING NIGHT PANELLISTS!

Join panelists Kieran Satour and Kirsten Wilson this Thursday for a special discussion, exploring the film alongside confronting statistics on incarceration, deaths in custody and the realities of the justice system in Central Australia.

🎥 Kieran Satour is an award winning Gurindji/Malngin, Pertame Arrernte and Worimi filmmaker and co-founder of First Nations production company GARUWA. With an extensive background in filmmaking centred on First Nations stories, truth-telling and social justice, Kieran will share motivations behind the film and the power of storytelling to challenge injustice.

⚖️ Kirsten Wilson is the NT Coordinator of the Justice Reform Initiative. With over a decade of experience working with young people, she will share her knowledge of Central Australia's justice system, its impacts on communities and the urgent need for reform.

Catch them THIS THURSDAY at MASIFF Opening Night!

📣 NEW SUPER INFO FOR ARTISTS & ARTS WORKERS

The ATO has updated its guidance on superannuation in the creative industries. The new information covers:

✔️ who may be entitled to super
✔️ when super is not payable
✔️ revenue sharing, door deals and profit shares
✔️ working through agents or other intermediaries
✔️ how super is calculated when only part of a payment qualifies

If you’re an artist, arts worker, festival, event producer, creative business or organisation, you need to know when you’re entitled to super — and when you’re responsible for paying it.

Read the updated ATO guidance at ato.gov.au
