Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day, and this year’s theme “Living Our Truth” - honouring truth-telling, sharing knowledge across generations, and recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as future leaders.

Through the First Nations Languages Education Program (FNLEP), the MLT is proudly working alongside community members and schools to support children in learning, using and celebrating Aboriginal languages.

Check out this great article by ABC Riverland on the Ngaiawang language!

The MLT has been working with RMMAC to create language resources. In this workshop, community members painted canvases to include in an upcoming children's book. This is part of our Pathways to Community-led Language Revival project, sponsored by Indigenous Languages and Arts.

We're super excited to see the final product of this book! 📚✏️
