“This magnificent mix of physical comedy, exquisite timing and respect for the era of the dialogue evinces a captivating performance in which a battle of wills plays out with plenty of twists and turns. Cusenza and Schmelzkopf are renowned Adelaide comic actors. This work fits them like a glove. Their comic business is perfection. They revel in it. Their characterisations solid and deeply true. They own hearts with ease.”

“The Sunshine Boys is a classic and well-loved play. This version does justice to the play’s long history and Peter Goers, Assistant Director/Co-stage Manager Brian Wellington, the superb cast and crew deserve high praise for this exemplary production.”

“Together, Cusenza and Schmelzkopf bring a genuine sense of having known each other for decades – which is easy for them, because they have. That familiarity translates wonderfully on stage as they replace real-life friendship with Willie and Al’s long-held enmity.”
