This past Saturday, the 13th of December we were able to host some families who have been effected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy at our first ever Christmas party. It was a beautiful time of connection and celebration, where we were able to see the resilience of these families and the children who have this condition.
I'd like to thank everyone involved in making the day as special as possible, particularly - Georgia Renfrey for all of your help with organisation and present making; Dionisia Blucher for supporting the entire endeavour and organising the amazing presents; the staff at Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Therapeutic & Behavioural Consulting for your supporting the event; Rhiannon MacLeod for behind the scenes organisation and helping with Glitter Pines registration stuff; Soula Lotsos and Arthur Lotsos for cooking up a storm and providing enough food to feed three times as many people; to everyone who has donated over the past few years - sincerely, thank you! This is what you've helped build. And to the families who trusted us to provide a positive experience for you - I hope you had a blast!
