The BEAT Movement was created to help create awareness about Breast Cancer in young women. We also want to eventually be able to support young women to BEAT breast cancer through our assistance programs (to be announced at a later date). Many young women around the world are dismissed for being too young for breast cancer or are told their symptoms a
re pregnancy or breastfeeding related. Unfortunately, in young women, breast cancer is usually aggressive so leaving it only leads to a poor prognosis. Currently, there is little to no education provided to health care professionals that are seeing this vulnerable group of women every day. By adding just a 15 minute presentation to their professional development or during their initial studies, health care professionals would be able to identify concerns like this more effectively and more women could be diagnosed earlier and without dismissal which WILL SAVE LIVES! I am working on our charity status and everything that goes with this movement all while going through treatment so please be patient with me!
