Pass in on Baby is a group of new, and not so new, mums who recognised the acute need for essential baby gear within disadvantaged sections of our community. Having been there ourselves we know all too well that it can be extremely costly to purchase these items new, or even second hand. While many charities may exist who can assist with food, clothes, toys and books, there are fewer that can assi
st with the larger items and often these are the most essential and can have the biggest impact on the safety of a new baby. It is particularly our wish that all new babies have safe sleeping environments and safe car restraints. We hope to increase donation rates of these larger items and encourage those that can afford to do so to donate rather than sell on second hand. We all know how valuable assistance can be when we are starting a family so we want to pass on that support to those who are most in need in our community. By partnering with Birthline Pregnancy Support who had an existing material assistance program we can tap into an existing network of social services to ensure our items reach those genuinely in need promptly.
