“We can do this at home!”

One of the lovely reflections from families at the Nature Play Festival was how simple the activity was to recreate at home, and how it sparked so much curiosity.

From mud and sand play to creating with natural materials, the festival offered families opportunities to discover the possibilities of open-ended play and immerse themselves in nature.

It was wonderful to see children experimenting, following their curiosity and leading their own play, while parents discovered that meaningful play doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive.

Sometimes, the simplest experiences create the biggest opportunities for connection, creativity and learning.

A big thank you to the City of Tea Tree Gully for organising the Nature Play Festival and creating such a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, explore and learn through play.
