RECONCILIATION DAY // Reconciliation is not a single day or moment; it is an ongoing journey of listening, learning, truth-telling and action.
Today we acknowledge the history, culture and enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this land. We recognise the strength of the world’s oldest continuing cultures and honour the resilience of communities who have cared for Country for tens of thousands of years.
Reconciliation calls each of us, as individuals, organisations and communities; to move beyond words and toward meaningful relationships built on respect, understanding and equity. It asks us to confront difficult histories, celebrate cultural knowledge, and commit to creating a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are empowered, heard and supported.
At LIVEfree Project, we are committed to walking alongside First Nations peoples with humility and openness; valuing community voice, strengthening culturally respectful practices, and continuing to learn how we can contribute to a more just and inclusive society.
Reconciliation is not about the past alone. It is about the future we choose to build together.
