New Lake Peer Support Ltd. Supporting people with disability, their families and carers since 1989. We support people to lead full and active lives.

New Lake Peer Support is a not for profit organisation, established in 1989, and provides support to people with disability and their families and primary carers living in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Lower Hunter areas. We support people to live life the way they choose. We are committed to working with the people we support, their families, carers and other significant people in their lives

to develop effective, highly personalised supports to suit individual needs. At New Lake Peer Support, we use a person centred approach so everyone gets the support that is right for them. We offer a broad range of support options, including but not limited to, respite support, day programs, transition to work, independent living skills training, supported living and social and recreational programs tailored to the individual needs of each person. With our excellent community links, this helps to increase social inclusion and to make sure that people with disability have full access to the community resources, events and activities available.

🦘 Farmyard Fun at Oakvale Wildlife Park!

What an unreal experience it was getting up close and personal with some of Australia's amazing animals! Throughout the day, we got to see Highland cows, Texas Longhorn cattle, meerkats, chickens, donkeys, ponies, pigs, cassowaries, emus, llamas, alpacas, and of course, everyone's favourite... kangaroos!

We share the sad news of the passing of one of our friends Jan Chopra. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and his support workers.

A Celebration of Life will be held to celebrate and honour Jan's life & share memories at Club Charlestown, Patricia Room on 25th July at 1pm, all are welcome.
