New Lake Peer Support is a not for profit organisation, established in 1989, and provides support to people with disability and their families and primary carers living in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Lower Hunter areas. We support people to live life the way they choose. We are committed to working with the people we support, their families, carers and other significant people in their lives to develop effective, highly personalised supports to suit individual needs. At New Lake Peer Support, we use a person centred approach so everyone gets the support that is right for them. We offer a broad range of support options, including but not limited to, respite support, day programs, transition to work, independent living skills training, supported living and social and recreational programs tailored to the individual needs of each person. With our excellent community links, this helps to increase social inclusion and to make sure that people with disability have full access to the community resources, events and activities available.
