This years Memorial Service being held 11am Saturday 6th June will recognise the contribution of the Newcastle and Hunter River Steam Ship Company where we will hear more about the work of the fine vessel Karuah as kindly told by our incredible local maritime historian Iain Steverson.

☕️The service will be followed by a morning tea.

🚎 Misson to Seafarers bus transport will be operating between Carrington car park near Water Police base and the Mission before and after service.

🚕 Drop off zone will also be available prior to service on Hannell Street.

Would you like to learn to cook? Or learn some tips and tricks? Join Soldier On Newcastle for a 6-week cooking and nutrition program! 🧑‍🍳
In a fun and supportive environment, weekly workshops will include learning about healthy eating habits, practical cooking lessons, reducing food wastage and saving money on your food budget.
We will cook 3 recipes each week – 2 savoury and 1 sweet/dessert, sharing a meal together at the end. Or you can take your meals home.
NEST is designed for a group of 12 participants who attend all six weekly sessions, held at the same time and day each week. If you cannot attend all, but can attend most, feel free to contact me to discuss.
To make it easier for families to take part, free onsite childcare will be provided.

🗓️ When: Weekly on Fridays for 6 weeks:
15 May, 22 May, 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June.
🕥 Time: 10:30am - 1:00pm
📍 Where: Medowie Community Centre

This program is open to all serving and ex-serving veterans and their families.
Parents with children welcome! A creche will be available.

A great day was had by members of MHA RSL sub-Branch in conjunction with Invictus Hunter yesterday at Pickleballerz Cardiff.

We highly recommend pickleball to everyone - all ages.
