Every community has a story, and ours began long before social media made it easy to connect. 💜

In the early 1990s, a small group of British mums living in Vienna started meeting in each other’s homes to support one another through pregnancy and early parenthood.

What began as a handful of families looking for connection gradually grew into
💜 Vienna Childbirth Trust,
💜 then Vienna Babies Club,
💜 and eventually the Vienna Family Network we know today.

Looking back reminds us that VFN has always been about people first:
creating a place where international families can find friendship, support and a sense of belonging.

September is here, and it clearly came with quite the to-do list! 🍂

Spread some kindness, read more, look after the planet, choose peace, learn to communicate, maybe squeeze in a little trip.. Oh, and get everyone out of the house on time for school again 🎒

Challenge accepted?

This month gives us plenty of little reminders of the things that connect us: kindness, learning, communication, looking after our world and, of course, each other. 💜

July is here, bringing sunshine, school holidays, and countless opportunities to slow down, make memories, embrace the little moments, and simply enjoy time together. ☀️💜

We are so excited to see both sessions of our exclusive VFN Member Business Charity Event, “Bring Out the Woman in You,” fully booked.

Created especially for VFN members, this event offers our mums the chance to step away from everyday life, enjoy a relaxed social evening and be photographed by a team of professional photographers in the heart of Vienna.

What makes it even more meaningful? Every ticket supports MOMO, our Charity of the Year, with all proceeds going directly to their work with children and families facing life-threatening or life-shortening illnesses.

A beautiful example of what can happen when our members, Member Businesses and community partners come together: exclusive experiences, genuine connection and support for an important cause. 💜

A summer afternoon with the VFN community? Yes please 💜

We’re creating space for something we’ve been missing:
more time to meet, connect, and simply enjoy being together.

Our VFN Family Picnic is coming - a relaxed community get-together for members and their families, filled with picnic vibes, play, and the kind of conversations that turn familiar faces into real connections.

It’s free for VFN members, but registration is required, and detailed location info will be shared only with registered families.

Our next VFN Workshop explores a topic many parents wonder about - but often don’t know how to approach:

How do we talk to children about bodies, boundaries, consent, and sexual health in an age-appropriate way?

Together with sexual health educator Martina Trimmel, we’ll explore how to create open conversations, support healthy body awareness, and help children understand personal boundaries and safe interactions from an early age.

From “cute names” for body parts to difficult Kindergarten moments and questions around curiosity, self-exploration, and consent, this workshop creates space for honest, practical, and supportive discussion.
