“Voices of Compassion” is an evening of live music and interfaith dialogue exploring different approaches to compassion through Hindu, Christian and Sufi traditions. Entry is by donation.
The conversation brings together Sushree Diya Om, an Indian mystic, ordained monk and author whose work connects meditation and social engagement; Felicia Holland, priestess of the Christengemeinschaft with a background in punk rock; and Mehdi Aminian, Iranian musician, composer and co-founder of Roots Revival, whose work draws on Persian and Sufi poetry.
Music by Mehdi Aminian and Anna-Sophie Brüning, with organ, piano, voice, Iranian ney and setar, will form part of the dialogue and offer another way of approaching the theme of compassion.
An evening of conversation, music and reflection across different traditions.
