PHAMBILI NGOZENZELE! 🏆
Simangaliphi Ncube, one of ORAP’s Community Mobilisers in Hwange District, has done it yet again!
Her success at the Matabeleland North Provincial Agricultural Show comes after outstanding performances at the zonal and district agricultural shows, where she also emerged among the top performers in various categories.
At the four-day provincial event, Simangaliphi continued her winning streak, taking top positions in Crafts, Poultry, Needlework and Horticulture. And that was not all, she also secured first position in the Farmer’s Hall.
Her prizes included a wheelbarrow, garden tools, pots, jojo tank, seeds, mesh wire, among others, valuable resources that will further support her livelihood activities.
Reflecting on her achievements, Simangaliphi thanked God for giving her the strength to work hard, be self-reliant and do things for herself rather than depend on others.
As an ORAP Community Mobiliser, Simangaliphi is leading by example. Her journey demonstrates that community mobilisation is not only about encouraging communities to embrace self-reliance, it is also about living the values we promote.
From zonal, to district, to provincial level, Simangaliphi’s achievements are a powerful example of what is possible when skills, determination and the spirit of Zenzele (self-reliance) come together.
Our Community Mobilisers lead from the front. They inspire by doing. They demonstrate that development starts with what we have, what we know and what we can do.
