It has been a busy and rewarding month for the Zimbabwe Council for the Blind as our team conducted school eye screening programmes in Minda and Mahetshe schools, etc in Matabeleland South. These schools are located far from Bulawayo, where access to quality eye care services remains a significant challenge.

Through these outreach activities, we screened learners, identified those with vision problems, and provided clip-on glasses to students who needed them, helping improve their ability to learn and participate confidently in the classroom.

We remain committed to ensuring that no child is left behind because of avoidable vision impairment. Together, we are bringing quality eye care closer to the communities that need it most.
