HOSA donates Starlink kits to Hartzell High School

Dear Esteemed Hartzell Alumni,

It is with great pride and gratitude that we share a significant milestone in our collective efforts to give back to our beloved alma mater.

On 17 March 2026, the Hartzell Old Students Association (HOSA) successfully donated two Starlink kits to Hartzell High School. This initiative marks an important step toward enhancing digital connectivity and learning opportunities for current students.

The kits were officially received on behalf of the school by the Headmaster, Mr Mutibu, and the SDC Chairperson, Mr Nyambiya, who travelled from Mutare for this occasion.

Representing HOSA, the handover was conducted by Mr Dunmore Munowenyu, Incoming HOSA President, with Ms Sandra Bhila, Outgoing PR and Communications Chairperson, also in attendance.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all alumni whose generosity and commitment made this donation possible. Your continued support is a powerful reminder of the enduring Hartzell spirit and the shared responsibility we hold in shaping the future of our school.

We warmly encourage all members of the Hartzell family to continue contributing, whether through resources, time, or expertise, to uplift the institution that nurtured us.

*A Heartfelt Appeal to Hartzell High School Alumni: Let's Rally Around Coach Ted DeWolf*

Dear HOSA Alumni,

We're reaching out to you today to ask for your help in showing appreciation for one of our beloved teachers and basketball coaches, Mr. Ted DeWolf. Coach DeWolf has been a pillar of our school community, shaping the lives of countless students, including many of you, through his dedication to education, basketball and track.

Coach DeWolf has been hospitalised in Mutare since cancer surgery in mid-May. There is much medical care still required. We are launching this appeal as a gesture of love to support Coach DeWolf and his family during this challenging time, to supplement where his medical aid falls short.

*Our Goal:* We're aiming to raise up to $15,000 to allow Coach DeWolf's family to focus on his recovery without worrying about the financial burden.

*How You Can Help:*

- Make a donation: Every contribution, big or small, counts, sent via your class reps.
- Share this appeal: Spread the word among your fellow alumni, friends, and family.
- Send a personal message: He is not able to manage visitors at present, but his family says you can send voice messages to his phone number +263 77 948 5774 so that they play them to him when he is able to listen. It would lift his spirits to hear your humour and joy in any memories you might want to share from the old days.
