FCD participated in the Mashonaland Central stakeholder's consultation for the Zimbabwe UN Women Country Strategy 2027–2031. Together, we explored strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities. We emphasized that child development and care must engage men as key players, and that tackling child pregnancies leading to early marriages, empowering girls and women, addressing climate change, energy, data systems, and technology inclusion are vital — all while ensuring no one, including persons with disabilities, is left behind. FCD was part of the Mashonaland Central stakeholders consultation for the Zimbabwe UNWOMEN Country strategy 2027-2031. We identified their Strengths , Weaknesses , Threats and Opportunities. Child development and care is usually for women but we need to have men as key players also. We believe that issues of child pregnancies->marriages , leadership development for girls and women , climate change, energy , strong data/evidence systems and inclusion of technology must be prioritized without leaving People with disabilities.

We had an opportunity to meet the HOSPAZ team discussing about palliative care (trends, gaps, fundraising and networking)- Palliative care wholesome care/support a person need from the point of diagnosis through illness and; in and after death (support for remaining family). As FCD our work in the health has shown how this adds quality of life, dignity throughout the lifecycle of a person. When children are happy, they absorb more content. The "Not in My School " Campaign is in line with "Not My Village" Campaign which protects children from Violence, abuse, child marriages, exploitation, bullying, drugs. The campaign emphasis the role of every stakeholder in protecting children and giving them everything that makes them grow safely. Thank you to Thrums Primary school-Bindura for inviting us. When people have something to gain , they usually conserve and its a culture that can be passed from 1 generation to the other. Good environments are good for our children's health.

Children's Health is directly related to food security. FCD is supporting families with nutritious Bio-Fortified NUA45 beans which matures early, requires little rain but giving exceptional yields. The seed remains viable for the next 3 cropping seasons assuring families of protein rich meals. We are building resilience for treatment. The Egmont Trust UNICEF Zimbabwe
