Now, we need your help to complete the journey.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL FOLLOWERS AND SUPPORTERS OF HASHTAG SA UNITE

Recently one of our Directors Mr Ashley Rix came under attack again by some so-called
Content Creators on Facebook who claim their false allegations are made “for entertainment
purposes only”. It is beyond belief that anyone can publish false allegations simply to get more likes and for entertainment. The work that we are doing is not for entertainment.
It is serious and we are addressing the needs of the downtrodden and disadvantaged in
South Africa.

ASHLEY started HASHTAG UNITE and became active immediately when the President of RSA announced the first COVID lockdown when millions were left without an income. ASHLEY used his own funds and voluntary donations to keep thousands alive during those trying times. Naturally at that stage food and other donations were and small financial donations were made to him in response to his personal request at the time.

Only later that year, 2020, was an entity HASHTAG SA UNITE registered formally and legally.

Through God’s grace and mercy this entity is still with us today and is being run on ethical
principles by a Management Board.

We thank all our loyal followers and supporters for the amazing work they have done because
without them, none of this would be possible. All of our 62 000 followers and 1000s of supporters!

By way of example, we took several learners to the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, Table Mountain Aerial Cable way, fed
thousands of children and adults, fed 1000 homeless people during the Festive season…….
This is God’s work in action. This is not done for entertainment. It is a matter of life-and-death.
To those ignorant individuals sitting on the sidelines spewing jealous remarks - we are really too occupied to pay attention.

HASHTAG SA UNITE is a registered NPC, NPO, PBO, and Section 18A organization committed to measurable social impact, sustainable community upliftment, and high-value humanitarian intervention. Since launching officially on 23 February 2020, we have activated a model of service that is people-centered, data-informed, and impact-focused.

Our journey began in 2019, and since then we have delivered more than a million warm meals to the homeless, vulnerable families, and communities in crisis. What started as a small local effort has evolved into a dynamic impact network reaching those most at risk, across multiple sectors of need.

Food Security & Humanitarian Relief
We prepare and distribute warm meals weekly. Every Monday and Friday, hundreds of families receive structured food parcels designed to support nutritional stability.
We also deploy rapid-response support to victims of fires and gender-based violence, ensuring immediate care, dignity packs, and crisis intervention when it matters most.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:
We run development programs and empowerment workshops designed to strengthen young people emotionally, academically, and socially.
Our education excursions and camps give learners access to new environments, mentorship, and skills development.
We previously operated a fully functional after-school program offering homework support, supervised study space, and project assistance. (This will reopen after the renovation of our Hub of Hope.)

𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 & 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁:
We facilitate programs that equip women and children through training, counselling pathways, personal development, and community-strengthening initiatives. These interventions help break cycles of dependency, fear, and vulnerability.

We are slowly nearing the end of 2025 and If you are alive you look back at every mountain; every valley; all the highs and lows. WE CAN AGREE AND SAY LORD YOU 'VE BEEN GOOD. Some have started 2025 with you but are here no more. Many has bid farewell to friends; family and loved ones. BUT LORD YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD. Some had good start others had even better start to this year. 2025 served us all with different challenges BUT LORD YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD . As we reflect on this year and no matter what; no matter who and no matter how. LORD YOU HAVE BEEN GOOD.
