🧸❤️ LITTLE TEDDIES, BIG HEARTS! ❤️🧸

It is a great honour and privilege to join hands with the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Mossel Bay to help collect teddy bears for vulnerable individuals, especially children, who experience traumatic and frightening situations.

Sometimes, the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference. ❤️ A soft teddy bear can offer comfort, reassurance and a sense of safety to someone going through a difficult time. It is more than just a toy — it is a little reminder that they are not alone, that someone cares, and that there is still kindness in this world. 🧸🤗

🙏 A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated! Your generosity and kindness are truly appreciated. Every teddy bear donated brings us one step closer to making a difference in the lives of those who need comfort and reassurance the most. ❤️

In What Are You Rooted? (Part 5)

5. What are you actually rooted in?

Take a moment to examine your heart.

* Am I rooted in God’s truth or in my feelings?
* Am I rooted in His approval or in the approval of people?
* Am I rooted in faith or in fear?
* Am I rooted in bitterness from yesterday or in the grace God offers today?
* Am I rooted in the temporary things of this world or in the eternal promises of God?

These questions are not meant to condemn you. They are invitations to return to the One who can make your roots strong again.

Remember: a tree does not grow deep roots overnight. Likewise, spiritual maturity develops as we spend time with God, obey His Word, pray, worship, forgive and continue trusting Him through every season.

In What Are You Rooted? (Part 4)

4. Rooted when the storms come

A tree’s strength is not measured only by how beautiful it looks on a sunny day, but by whether its roots can sustain it through the storm.

In the same way, the depth of our spiritual roots becomes visible during seasons of disappointment, grief, uncertainty and waiting.

Being rooted in God does not mean that you will never cry, struggle or feel weak. It means that, even in your weakness, you know where to turn.

You may not understand what God is doing, but you can continue trusting who He is.

Jeremiah 17:7–8 describes the person who trusts in the Lord as a tree planted by water, whose leaves remain green even when heat comes and whose fruit continues during drought.

The drought may be real, but so is the Source of your life.

3. Rooted in God’s Word

Psalm 1:2–3 describes a person who delights in the law of the Lord as a tree planted beside streams of water, bearing fruit in season.

God’s Word nourishes our spiritual lives. It corrects our thinking, strengthens our faith, exposes unhealthy attitudes and reminds us of God’s character.

When emotions change, His truth remains. When circumstances are confusing, His wisdom guides us. When discouragement comes, His promises remind us that He has not abandoned us.

Ask yourself: Am I allowing God’s Word to shape my life, or am I allowing my circumstances to shape what I believe about God?

In What Are You Rooted? (Part 2)

2. Rooted in God’s love

Ephesians 3:17–18 speaks of being rooted and grounded in love.

Notice that Paul connects roots with love. A tree draws nourishment from the soil in which it is planted. Likewise, our souls need to be nourished by the knowledge that we are loved by God.

When you are rooted in His love, you no longer have to spend your life striving to prove your worth. You can serve Him from a place of gratitude rather than fear, and you can extend grace to others because you have received grace yourself.

You are not rooted in what you have done for God, but in what God has revealed about His love for you through Jesus Christ.

In What Are You Rooted?

The question “In what are you rooted?” is a profound spiritual question. It asks: What is the foundation of your life? What gives you strength, shapes your identity, sustains your faith, and determines how you respond when the storms of life come?

Just as a tree needs strong roots to survive storms, we need deep spiritual roots to remain steadfast in our relationship with God.

1. Rooted in Christ

Colossians 2:6–7 teaches us to walk in Christ, rooted and built up in Him, established in the faith.

Being rooted in Christ means that Jesus is not merely part of your life; He is the foundation of your life.

* Your identity comes from Him, not from people’s opinions.
* Your peace rests in Him, not in favourable circumstances.
* Your hope is anchored in His promises, not in what you can see.
* Your decisions are shaped by His Word, not by the changing standards of the world.

When your roots are deep in Christ, difficult seasons may shake you, but they do not have to destroy you.
