Benevolent Park Update & Feedback

23 April โ€“ Official Handover of Memorandum of Demands

June 2025
The Minister's office dispatched a delegation on a "fact-finding" mission to meet with the Community Action Task Committee (CATC). The purpose of this meeting was to discuss in detail the events surrounding the Benevolent Park matter.
On a separate occasion, the Minister of the Department of Social Development (DSD) made an unannounced visit to Mossel Bay. She met with the CATC to personally extend her commitment to finding a suitable resolution to the matter.

September 2025
The DSD NPO Directorate, along with their Legal & Compliance team, met with me, the Deputy Chairperson, and K & Q LANGEV Consultants. This meeting was part of the continuing " fact-finding " efforts to gather more information in preparation for briefing the state attorney.

October 2025
The matter is now with the DSD Minister, the NPO Directorate, and the State Attorneys for further consideration. We are currently awaiting feedback on the proposed way forward.

PLEASE NOTE: We humbly request that all stakeholders remain patient with the process and not spread any dissinformation. We must allow the minister the necessary space to apply their expertise in seeking the required resolution.

Much appreciated.

It is the responsibility of all South Africans to end the culture of silence around gender-based violence and report perpetrators to the police? All of us, whether in our communities or in our homes must do everything we can to promote and protect the rights of women and children.

What if we broke the stereotype that โ€œcoloured people donโ€™t want to see each other winโ€?
What if we shattered the false belief that we canโ€™t work together?
What if we silenced the lie that we are the most divided nation?

What ifโ€ฆ instead of watching from the sidelines, we united behind two ground-shaking leaders โ€” Gayton Mckenzie and Fadiel Adams โ€” and imagined a Western Cape where our CVs no longer end up in dustbins, our youth are no longer pushed aside, and our leaders walk the talk 365 days a year โ€” not just during elections.

Recently, we heard both Gayton Mckenzie and Fadiel Gatvol Adams have hits out on their names.
Recently, we heard both Gayton McKenzie and Fadiel Adam's speak about the "Open Chat" saga.
Now, whether you believe this or not, whether you call it โ€œspeculationโ€ or โ€œrumoursโ€ โ€” the very thought should make us pause and ask: ๐—ช๐—ต๐˜† ๐˜„๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฑ ๐—”๐—ก๐—ฌ๐—ข๐—ก๐—˜ ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐˜๐˜„๐—ผ?

Why are they being painted as gangsters, thugs, or threats?

Simple. Because ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜†โ€™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐˜†๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ thatโ€™s been feeding on our silence for too long.

They edit videos.
They crop truths.
They clip soundbites out of context.
Like the clip with little Liam Jacobs โ€” they used a snippet and not the full story.
They did the same with Gayton in Bonteheuwel, twisting his words of love into something else entirely.

They fear what happens when people with melanin in their skin, history in their bones, and a fire in their souls come together.

They donโ€™t want unity โ€” especially not unity between strong, fearless, on-the-ground leaders.
They pin us against each other โ€” ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜ƒ๐˜€ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ โ€” while smiling behind podiums and shaking hands in hidden boardrooms.

But ask yourself this: Why is the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture finally alive again?
Why are our schools getting proper sporting equipment?
Why are communities once forgotten finally seeing change?

Itโ€™s because these leaders โ€” from the Patriotic Alliance South Africa and National Coloured Congress โ€” ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐˜…

๐—ช๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ฑ-๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜€ in townships โ€” no longer a privilege reserved for "the other side of the mountain".
๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜†๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ from communities where rejection was routine.

You see, businesses and opportunities in this country have for too long been reserved for a specific colour, a specific class, a specific connection. But leaders like Gayton and Fadiel are breaking the monopoly.

Some vote against them โ€” but call them first when:

Their child is being bullied in school ๐ŸŽ“
Their employer is being unfair ๐Ÿข
Their club is being sidelined โšฝ๐ŸŽญ
They need help from the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture ๐ŸŽจ

That tells us everything:

Imagine how many lives could be restored.
Imagine how many injustices could be corrected.
Imagine what healing would look like if we broke generational cycles.

No more โ€œcoloureds donโ€™t support coloureds.โ€
No more โ€œour leaders donโ€™t last.โ€
No more division.

We are not too light.
We are not too dark.
We are just right for a time like this.
And maybe

This post is not about race โ€” itโ€™s about truth, facts, and change.
Itโ€™s about breaking mental strongholds that have kept communities bound for too long.
Letโ€™s stop doing the same things expecting different results.
Letโ€™s stand for whatโ€™s right, not whatโ€™s easy.

Unity is strength ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝโค๏ธLet's stand together behind Gayton McKenzie and Fadiel Adams, leaders who are disrupting the system and fighting for our rights. They're not afraid to speak truth to power and challenge the status quo.

Let's silence the lies and propaganda, and let's focus on the real change we need. These leaders are working tirelessly to:

- Create jobs and opportunities for our youth
- Develop our communities and infrastructure
- Promote art and culture
- Protect public funds and resources

We need leaders who are fearless, ethical, honest, and committed to our cause. Gayton and Fadiel are leading the way, and it's time for us to stand behind them.

Let's break the cycle of division and silence. Let's unite and demand a better future for ourselves and our communities. We are stronger together...
