Our hearts are overflowing as we announce that the Little Sprouts Baby Sanctuaries have grown by six tiny feet! Please join us in welcoming our three newest arrivals to the Simply Sow family.

There is a special kind of magic that fills the air when a new life enters our doors. We don’t just see "babies"; we see infinite potential, beautiful stories waiting to be written, and souls that deserve the very best the world has to offer.

This story reminds us again: hope begins with people who are willing to open their hearts and homes. Safety parents play an incredible role in the lives of vulnerable children — bringing calm into chaos, love into trauma, and light into dark moments.

We see this daily in our own work with children and foster families… how one safe, loving environment can change a child’s entire future.

Veiligheidsouers gee hoop. Ons kantoor is dankbaar vir elke persoon wat aanmeld om gekeur te word as veiligheidsouers. Ons moes gedurende Maart 2 babas uit 2 ouerhuise verwyder om hulle veiligheid te verseker. Dit is altyd ’n traumatiese geleentheid vir die kind, biologiese ouers en vir die maatskaplike werker betrokke.

Ons is geseën deur ’n egpaar in Groot Brakrivier wat al vir 104 babas/kinders veiligheidsouers was en is. Liefde in aksie! Hulle is tans die veiligheidsouers vir ’n 3 maande oue baba seuntjie met aangebore longprobleme, asook vir ’n pragtige 10 maande oue dogtertjie wat vir die eerste paar dae verskriklike onttrekking gehad het omdat sy deur haar dwelmverslaafde ma geborsvoed is.

Vir hierdie kinders en hulle families bied ons veiligheidsouers ’n tweede kans. ’n Kans vir die ouers om hulle omstandighede te verbeter en vir die babas ’n kans op onvoorwaardelike liefde en omgee van baie spesiale mense. ’n Kans om ’n stukkie hemel op aarde te ervaar.

Kinders vorm die toekoms van ons gemeenskap. Soms neem dit net een volwassene met 'n hart van goud om ’n kind se pad in ’n beter rigting te stuur.

By Kinderwelsyn SA: Groot-Brakrivier werk ons elke dag om kinders te beskerm en te ondersteun, maar ons kan dit nie alleen doen nie. Ons het ’n groeiende behoefte aan pleeg- en veiligheidsouers wat bereid is om ’n veilige, stabiele ruimte vir kinders in nood te bied.

Met die vakansie om die draai neem die behoefte net toe. Jy kan help deur jou tyd, jou huis of jou hulpbronne beskikbaar te stel - of dit nou finansiële bydraes of donasies van klere en noodsaaklikhede is.

Every baby deserves safety. Every child deserves dignity. Every family deserves support.

At Little Sprouts Baby Sanctuary, we care for vulnerable babies who have been removed from unsafe environments — providing love, stability, and the strongest possible start in life.

When a child enters foster care, it often happens suddenly. A baby may arrive with nothing — no clothes, no formula, no essentials. Through our Baby Sanctuary, Kangaroo Mothers Project, Foster Pantry, and Foster Closet initiatives, we step in to provide immediate care, comfort, and dignity for both children and the foster families who welcome them with open hearts.

Behind every tiny hand is a story of resilience… and a community that can change a child’s beginning.
