Today, we celebrate and honor all fathers, grandfathers, uncles, guardians, mentors, and father figures who play an invaluable role in shaping the lives of children and families.

Today, on World Hunger Day, Education of Hope Africa stands in solidarity with millions of people around the world who continue to face hunger, food insecurity, and poverty.

Hunger is more than an empty stomach — it affects children's education, health, dignity, and future opportunities. Many vulnerable families, orphaned children, and elderly caregivers in our communities struggle daily to access nutritious meals. No child should have to learn on an empty stomach and no elderly person should have to suffer from hunger.

At Education of Hope Africa, we witness firsthand the impact that food support and community care can make. Through our programmes and partnerships, we remain committed to supporting vulnerable children and elderly caregivers while advocating for sustainable solutions that empower communities and restore hope.

Chess not only provides a fun and stimulating environment, but also plays a vital role in developing critical thinking, concentration, problem-solving skills, and strategic planning among the learners.

Through regular chess sessions, children are encouraged to think ahead, make informed decisions, and build patience and discipline. The activity also promotes healthy competition, teamwork, and confidence, helping learners grow both academically and personally.

At Education of Hope Africa, our After-School Homework Support and After-Care Programme continues to empower learners through quality academic support, mentorship, and chess development.

The programme provides a safe and supportive learning environment where learners receive homework assistance, educational guidance, and chess training that helps improve concentration, strategic thinking, discipline, and confidence.

We are proud to see an improved pass rate with high grades among learners attending the programme. These positive results reflect the dedication of our facilitators, the hard work of our learners, and the continued support from our partners and community stakeholders.
