With 🎉DIWALI CELEBRATIONS🎉
on our doorstep, we need to plan ahead to keep our beloved pets safe from the traumas of the effect of fireworks.🔥🔥

We need to be vigilant and aware for our own pets wellbeing over this period. Unfortunately we can't stop the celebrations, but we can be prepared for them.👍👍👍

Here are some tips to keeping your pets safe:

💟Keep all your pets inside and stay at home with them.🐰🐹🐶🐱

💟Keep all your doors, windows and curtains closed. Take extra care to ensure your gates are closed and locked.🔐🔐

💟Asking your local vet for some sort of pet sedative would be ideal, And administer as per the instructions.💊💊

💟Keep all your pets together in a room, for instance, sit with them on the couch with the TV on our some soothing music to cut out some of the noise. 🎹🎹🎹

💟Get some tasty treats 🐟🐟🐟and toys to keep them occupied and their minds off the noise.

💟If you are driving around and u see any stray animals, please pick them up, keep them safe till morning and post their pics in local groups and take them to your nearest vet. There will always be your 👎👎👎irresponsible pet owner who doesn't keep their animals safe.😬😬😬 If they are on the loose, it could cost them their lives.⚰️⚰️

💟If you are going out to join in the celebrations, please leave your pets with a pet sitter, or book them into a boarding facility. ✔️✔️✔️

🌈😞A TRAGIC TURN OF EVENTS😞🌈

I don’t even know how I am able to write this. My heart is broken in a million pieces.

Shockingly our darling Bella has gone to be with Jesus. After 3 years, we finally found the purrfect home for Bella. But instead of wishing her fair well. We ended up saying our goodbyes.

This poor girl came in to shelter in 2023. She was skin and bone and was so scared and timid. However, she blossomed over the years and literally became our most sassy cat.

Mostly biting or clawing any one who gave her love. This was Bella. And this became her trademark. Which is why so many adopters chose not to adopt her. No one could understand her, and her moods.

We did, so we let her be and loved her no matter what. When she demanded our pizza, we had to submit to her demise and surrender a slice to her as she would not take no for an answer and absolutely loved pizza.

Bella had many struggles over the years. We had to get her eye removed due to a reoccurring growth that made her very uncomfortable. Then we had her teeth extracted recently due to severe gingivitis.

She never seemed okay after her dental. We were worried she had dipped into depression. She was eating well, but seemed more isolated. We thought she was still recovering from her full mouth extraction.

After Bella’s recent post went viral. We went through all her applications and found one home that stood out. It was approved and the family came to pick her up yesterday.

The same very day that they came to take her home, I noticed Bella’s breathing was as slightly off. I asked the family to hold off on adopting until I can get her checked out by the vet.

So we rushed off to Bryanston Veterinary Hospital to have her checked. We were utterly in shock when they said she has a large amount of fluid around her lungs and if they don’t drain it, she will die.

We agreed, and agreed to further testing, scans and X-rays.

We trust Bryanston Emergency impeccably and when they came back and told us that Bella was riddled with lymphoma and nothing can be done to save her. We knew we had to do what was right by Bella.

Bella slept in my bed for the 1st time ever in 3 years the night before. She knew. She knew before we did.

Our hearts have a gaping hole. We did not expect this. Even to her last day, she was playing with an insect on the wall and kept her sass even when her new mom and dad came to fetch her. Bella hid this well. We are nothing but devastated.

RIP SWEET GIRL. We miss you soo much.
