Fit 4 Partnership Africa: Unlocking Opportunities in Organic Agribusiness
Fit 4 Partnership Africa is a pioneering campaign and program designed to develop competent professionals and globally competitive agribusinesses in Africa. Our objective is to organize a group of companies in the agricultural sector in Africa to capitalize on opportunities presented by the South Africa G20 Presidency.
Growing Demand for Certified Organic Products:
The global demand for certified organic agriculture products, goods, and services is on the rise. According to recent research:
- Global Organic Market: The global organic market has grown significantly, with sales reaching over $123 billion in 2020 (Source: FiBL-IFOAM survey).
- Demand for Organic Products: There is a growing demand for organic products, driven by consumer awareness of health and environmental benefits.
Challenges Facing African Producers:
Despite the growing demand, African producers face challenges in accessing global markets:
- Certification and Compliance: African producers often struggle to meet certification and compliance requirements for organic products.
- Limited Access to Markets: Many African producers lack access to global markets, hindering their ability to capitalize on growing demand.
Empowering Young People and Women:
As a licensed exporter trained by the Department of Trade, Innovation, and Competition, we recognize the importance of breeding and grooming young people and women in Africa to explore opportunities in the globally growing organic sector.
Fit 4 Partnership Africa's Role:
Our program aims to:
- Build Capacity: Develop the capacity of African agribusinesses to meet global standards and certification requirements.
- Provide Market Access: Facilitate access to global markets, including trade leads from G20 countries.
- Promote Sustainable Practices: Encourage sustainable agriculture practices and environmentally friendly production methods.
By supporting Fit 4 Partnership Africa, we can empower African agribusinesses to capitalize on emerging opportunities and contribute to the growth of the global organic sector.
