Some of the trainers in training attended the Farming God‘s Way national infield mentoring in Limpopo in April.

Sduduzile, Mpendulo and Patricia made the long trip to Tzaneen and proudly represented Inundo Development. The excitement they came back with was beautiful to see. They could not stop sharing what they learned and speaking highly of the senior trainers for the wisdom and guidance shared during the training.

One thing about farming is that the learning never stops. Every season, every trip and every experience teaches us something new. As we grow our gardens, we also grow our minds, our skills and our passion for the work we do. Siyabonga for opportunities that continue to shape and strengthen us 🌿.

The last week of April brought us a beautiful reward as we harvested our dry maize here at the farm 🌽.

From the seeds we planted to the harvest we gathered, we reflected on how farming requires patience, care, and trust. We have kept fifteen corn cobs for planting next season so the journey can continue, and the rest will help feed our chickens and support life around the farm.

Our hearts are celebrating. Every harvest promises abundance and another opportunity to keep learning from the soil 💛.

The small group journey at Inundo continues and so does the commitment behind it.

Last week, we connected with our small group leaders through a WhatsApp meeting, creating a space where every voice matters. It was a moment to reflect, share honest feedback from their groups, and speak openly about any challenges they are facing along the way.

With the guidance of Sduduzile, Donna and Mbongeleni, new topics were shared to keep the conversations growing and meaningful within each group.

This is how we build strong communities not just by meeting, but by listening, guiding and walking the journey together 🌱.

Caring for our green manure cover crop….Even a strong crop like sorghum still needs care 🌱 Last week we headed into the garden with our hoes, making space by clearing out the weeds so our sorghum can grow freely and thrive.

It’s a reminder that growth always needs attention. When we create the right environment, even the strongest plants can reach their full potential while continuing to nourish and sustain the soil.

Step by step, we grow with the land.

Plant with purpose, harvest with pride 🌱

We are grateful to have supplied a large order to Impala Ridge and Greenheart Organics, including spinach ,spring onions , avocado and green beans.
Moments like these show that dedication in the soil always comes back in abundance with enough to supply and still enough to nourish ourselves.

You will reap what you sow 🤗

Hard work, patience and time all come together in this moment. As we sift through the compost, the true beauty is revealed. Fine, rich and full of life, ready to nourish the next season. Black gold doing what it does best.

The work is still in progress but every step matters. We are installing a new electrical fence and adding small gates to make sure this space grows into a place of safety and purpose for everyone. It may not be finished yet but the vision is clear and we are committed to building it with care.

We move forward kancane kancane, trusting the process and celebrating each improvement along the way. What we are creating here is more than just a property, it is a foundation for growth, community and a better future 🤍

Even in the absence of our mentors, the heart ♥️ of Inundo keeps beating strong. Everyone is taking ownership and showing commitment.

In section 2, the focus is clear and consistent for Nosisi. The flower beds are neatly trimmed, no weeds in sight, and mulch is laid with care to protect and nourish the soil.

In section 1, Andile is holding it down, making sure the chickens are fed and the fence is secure, because every detail matters. The vegetable garden is thriving.

Dumisani is working hard turning the compost. Mhle keeps the home running smoothly, making sure everyone is well fed and the space stays clean and welcoming. And Thando, our voice behind the scenes, keeps the story alive, making sure everything flows well and that the team stays connected and uplifted.

This is more than just work. It is responsibility, teamwork, and pride in what we are building together.

Turning the compost is where the real transformation begins. After two or three days the pile starts to come alive and that is when the REOTEMP Compost Thermometer becomes your best friend. When it reaches 68 degrees you know it is time to turn.

Today at the farm Andile and Dumisani got to work, opening up the pile, letting the middle breathe and adding moisture where it is needed. The steam rising says it all, this is a healthy, active compost doing exactly what it was made to do.

Good compost is not just made, it is cared for. Keep turning, keep checking, and trust the process 🌱
