YOUTH MONTH 2026

Kicking off Youth Month with a valuable learning opportunity, 20 Yeboneers participated in a Basic Computer Training course from 1–5 June, conducted by the Mobile WCG eCentre. The training equipped participants with essential digital skills and helped expand their digital journey.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the facilitators of the Mobile WCG eCentre for reaching out to our youth and empowering them with practical computer knowledge. Your dedication and support are helping to create new opportunities and a brighter digital future for our community.
Thank you for making a meaningful impact in the lives of our youth.

Child Protection Week Message
Every day is Child Protection Day because keeping children safe is everybody’s responsibility. From the 29th of May until the 5th of June, we annually commemorate Child Protection Week to raise awareness about the rights, care and protection of children. In South Africa, Child Protection Week encourages all communities to work together to protect children from abuse, neglect, violence and exploitation. (South African Government)
During this week, we will host different programmes and activities for both parents and children. Workshops will be held to empower parents and caregivers, while fun and educational activities will be arranged for children.
We also urge all community members to take part on Friday by wearing green and wearing a green ribbon as a sign of support for child protection. The green ribbon symbolises life, growth, hope and our commitment to protecting children. (South African Government)
We call on all households, schools and ECD centres to place emphasis on how special children are and the importance of keeping them safe, loved and protected at all times.

Thank you Arise Family

Too often, we project hopelessness onto under-resourced communities. We assume that limited resources mean limited futures. That narrative is not only wrong — it's harmful.

Recently, we partnered with the Darling Outreach Foundation to run our 10-week program, Roots to Resilience. What we witnessed inspired us and reminded us why this work exists.

Resilience isn't a gift reserved for the fortunate. It's an innate ability that can be built, strengthened, and rediscovered. That's exactly what this program sets out to do.

We left Darling with full hearts and a renewed sense of purpose.

If you're interested in bringing Roots to Resilience to a community or organisation near you, reach out at [email protected]

Communication at home helps learners develop language skills, emotional confidence and healthy relationships. Reducing screen time creates more opportunities for meaningful conversations that support their growth and overall well-being. Every conversation builds a brighter future. Be the voice our children trust.
